Mages is out of control again

Hearthstone Players; “the amount of freeze in this game has become excessive, with Mage in particular. It’s killing any kind of board based decks and even entire classes.”
Mage Mains; “Good :)”
Mage mains 10 minutes later; “omg why does everyone hate us we are so persecuted maybe just let those classes be unplayable for the next expansion or year like omg is that really so much to ask :(“

This to be completely flipping honest.

When i saw the new cards anounced for mage b4 the expanssion was released. I drooled tbh.

I just finished crafting ever card mage had ever made and was roflstoping ppl with wild waygate mage lol.

Yes the one were u get near infinate turns.

I remember the UIS days, when mage mains said that Quest mage is “fair and balanced” XD

Mage is not one bit balanced hence why i love playing it not gonna lie.

I started as a hunter main we my buddie got me playing in 2014 then went to priest. then got the rest of the cards after that. The rest is history yeah i would say warrior is my least favorite class.

I am a whale. I buy both pre orders ever expansion then all 4 of the bundles that come out release day.

Remember when the best counter play to Questline mage was literally “never play minions for the entire game” and they honestly never saw anything wrong with that.

Hahaha, yeah I remember. They claimed that Quest mage had a skill ceiling as high as Garrote Rogue XD

Thats legit one of the hardest decks to play lmao…

Yeah, and Quest Mage fans claimed it was as difficult to pilot as Garrote Rogue.

Much like how Theotar groupies these days claim that Theotar is a high skill card…

Theotar doesn’t seem to increase in drawn winrate the higher on the ladder you look. This suggests it is, in fact, not of a high skill ceiling. Another card with a slightly similar effect, Illucia, was a high skill ceiling card, though, I’d wager.

Just played this deck again froze a DH entire board 8 times in a row while (leathal damage in minions btw on his side of the board) upgrading my hero power with the 1 cost cards and hero powering him to death. Finished him off with the hero power legendary.

If thats not 100% cancer idk what is.

Ah hahaha. Lol. Mage out of control. Funny. They’ve been mostly crap since they nerf’d the stupid UiS quest reward. Let them have some fun in standard for a while. Everyone else gets to have a turn.

That’s kind of the problem, when you playing against current Mage you don’t really get a turn.

This tbh 1000000000%

Or they take 8+ turns in a row in wild

Maybe not since turn 2 but definitely every turn after 4 until OTK KT or Denath.

Extremely common.

Just greese slided to d5 on my alt account with this deck legit prob the easyest climb to d5 pretty much of all time from bronze…

This one is legit a hair more optomized than my home brew deck.

I mean 5 to legend can take a bit some times but concidering how easy it was i mean legit effortless im pretty sure ill be legend in no time…

Pretty wild tbh… didnt even climb this fast with release demon hunter no cap. In my pocket meta priest were legit on top of release dh and all over that poop. (Cant say the s-word qAq)

yeah or they should give more anti freez options than just starfish.

Extremely common to freeze the whole board from turn 4 till you have an OTK with KT or denatrious.

Let’s analyze this statement.

The only freeze AoE available for 4 mana is a legendary minion.
On 5 you have coin blizzard, then another blizzard an parrot.
Meanwhile you need to summon skeletons, or to infuse denatrious enough to deal 30+ damage in one turn.

I call bs on this one either; every time I read a misleading statement like this to justify a true statement, I slowly convince myself that maybe the “once true statement” (freeze is oppressing) isn’t that true after all.

Maybe we deserve more freeze effects and easier OTK, so you can be right

thi bs what are you saying mage has flurry, broken location for 3 mana, blizzard, parrot, dawngrasp recasting blizzard, and 4 mana dawngrasp. Welcome to neverending story of your board being frozon for 5 turns in a row. I’ve been there. Everyone playing skelly mage currently or is defending thiss bs is a noob for me.

I can’t believe people can’t be OBJECTIVE.

How common is for a mage to freeze your board from turn 4 to turn 10 and then OTK you?

Have you ever played mage?

I have and I assure you there isn’t enough mana to FREEZE the WHOLE board for 5 turns in a ROW starting from turn 5 and then OTKing with Denatrious or KT.
It’s mathematically IMPOSSIBLE, no matter how many flurry you can theoretically discover.

That’s the end of the discussion for me, unless there is a new input; just like when arguing with Mallernoh about “mage not being discriminated” was pointless, here there is no common sense in what I read.
I leave the conversation to you all, maybe you will find peace in your fantasty stories

I would say 4 out of 5 games i can freeze thr majority of the board if not all for 6+ turns…

Also if you would read the origional post its not about how often it happens its about that it can happen at all.

At this point your ignoring my origional post your issues were already addressed in the origional post.

At this point your practicly trolling.

This is one possible solution.
