It would help if you actually said what you were using to evaluate what “improvement” means.
Also, how are you not defending the OP’s claims by saying it isn’t just him?

It would also help if you didn’t attack every difference of opinion from your own. I have read your posts you know…
MMR is rigging. Nobody is suggesting a total random matchup for all ranks. I would like the matching to be random within every rank ie 20 only matches up with 20. I don’t want to be spoon fed totally polarized matchups when on either a losing or winning streak.
MMR doesn’t apply to all parts of the ladder though, and that’s relevant to the topic at hand. MMR is only used in Casual play, Legend, and certain Tavern Brawls - places where you don’t have an exact Rank (or, in the case of Legend, places where there can’t be more than one player at a given Rank in a given Region).
At Ranks 1-20 your matchups are determined exclusively by your Rank and number of Stars, not your win rate or whether you’re on some kind of streak. Even in Casual/Legend/Tavern Brawls as mentioned earlier, it isn’t like you’re fed specific matchups to end a streak one way or another. That isn’t how the MMR system works.
I may be wrong about paragraph 2, but it certainly doesn’t feel like it. For instance tonight every single game I won as Priest was immediately followed by a match against either mage or rogue. (I’m am not exaggerating). Every win as druid was immediately followed by a match up against either hunter or zoo version of warlock.
I play a lot of games involving a degree of randomness ( I still dable in some micro stake poker) This is the only game where I’ve ever felt that random was not random. Take that for what it’s worth.
Welcome to your perceptual biases!
Well… if the great Boeing Company did it, risking LIVES, why wouldnt Blizz do it ?
Because cost/benefit analyses are a thing? It’s ridiculously scummy for companies to weigh the value of human lives but it’s definitely a thing they do. If Boeing viewed the risk/payouts in the events that something went wrong as greater than the monetary benefit of cutting corners, then they definitely wouldn’t have cut those corners.
Similarly, there’s no reason to assume Blizz is rigging games of Hearthstone unless you also have reason to believe the potential profits of rigging the game outweigh the risk of being discovered and players leaving the game/suing the company/etc.
As it stands there are already multiple systems in place (ladder, stars, MMR, etc) in place that naturally force players towards a 50% winrate. Given the amount of resources it would take to research, create, implement, and cover up the algorithm in question to rig games behind the scenes (in addition to the risk of it being discovered, as mentioned earlier), I seriously doubt such a rigging system would be worth the handful of players that would actually buy packs after losing a few winrate percentage points.
Incorporating a small bias in the drawing and matchmaking of the game would not be difficult at all. You’d just have to selectively manipulate the draw of a few cards and average it out over time. The goal is not to necessarily get people who are not going to buy cards, to buy cards. It’s to keep the F2P players playing and to keep the whales buying cards.
So it’s a subtle change that has no impact in the long run, can’t be properly tabulated or witnessed on a larger scale, and can only be recognized on an individual game-by-game basis. What makes this any different from natural RNG?
Repost read all this then comment on each one. Top 10 Reasons its not rigged. My biggest response to a its rigged post of all time!
1 Track sites have found no evidence of rigging. Track sites have tracked millions of games. You play maybe a couple hundred a month. Which one is more accurate? I’ll go ahead and wait and let you think on this. A little more. Tad more. Big surprise its the sample size of millions and not that one saturday you lost to three topdecks in a row and got hot.
2 MMR is not rigging. Matchmaking is there to help players not harm them. Imagine the game if MMR dint exist. Legends could queue into rank 20. People at rank 1 could fight number 1 legend over and over.
From Hearthwiki: While it may seem at times that the Hearthstone matchmaking system has achieved sentience and is hell-bent on preventing you from reaching Legend, it is therefore likely that such experiences are simply a result of the tendency of the human mind to remember and focus on negative experiences, combined with the at times extraordinary runs of luck that inevitably occur every so often in any such game of chance. If you’re getting frustrated by a string of losses, remember that frustration typically results in impaired performance, and take a break.
Blizzard have consistently denied that the matchmaking system has any such knowledge of player decks, match-ups or history.[1][7] The perception is more likely due to the tendency of players to notice and remember runs of bad luck more than runs of good luck, and losses more than wins. Players who are matched into several advantageous match-ups in a row are more likely to celebrate their luck, commend their choice of deck or knowledge of the meta, or simply focus on playing, than to make a mental note of the mathematical improbability of such pairings being purely random. Conversely, players presented with a string of bad match-ups tend to seek a reason for their luck - ideally someone or something to blame - and are far more likely to make a post complaining about their misfortune.
3 No disgrunted employee from Blizzard has ever offered a whisper of rigging with video, post, or evidence of any king. Companies piss of employees all the time and they get fired or leave. You telling me all those former Blizzard employees are playing nice? Come on.
4 There is no reason to rig games. Any sane player that comes to the conclusion Blizzard is fixing their games will leave the game. They wont buy packs. They wont make forums posts asking for Blizzard to play nice. They leave. And go play something else probably from a competitor.
5 If they were rigging games and it got out with proof then their entire business is ruined forever . All of them. Not just hearthstone. Are they really going to take that risk? Do they even need to take that risk?
6 No competitor has offered evidence of rigging. This is a huge clue that it is not happening.
7 I Put the rigged theory to the test. I did this for fun and got the exact results I expected. I won 0 games out of 20. I made a terribad priest deck that had next to 0 chance to win. I have paid lots of money into the game so if anyone is going to have p2w luck I would be one of them. I dint win a single game. I got crushed everygame. I even got crushed in casual. I had only a couple of chances to topdeck a win Like leeroy that I put in there on purpose and I never hit it.
8 Blizzard isnt up the monumental task of rigging that many games. Blizzard couldnt get Nozdormu to work right for what a couple years? And you think they can somehow rig hundreds of thousands of games in real time? Really?
9 Nobody ever complains that the game is RIGGED IN THEIR favor. Its always against. Why? Confirmation bias. See number 10 as well.
10 Your brain is rigged. Its true. Watch David Eagleman series and he will show you how and how this leads to brain seeking patterns. Even ones that arent there. Like thinking games are rigged. Seriously this is one of the greatest series of all time. Watch it and learn. You wont make these rediculous rigged posts if you do because you will be smarter.

Yeah, buddy, it ain’t.
did Activision get sued, successfully for rigging COD games. I would not be surprised if they rigged hearthstone games.
