Is ANYONE playing Priest

You never see priest bots. That is how you know they are terrible.

Sadly, no. After Titans it got really bad. The only wins I was able to get was with shadow, and for me aggro decks are so boring. I’ve been having more fun with rogue, warrior, and death knight these days… Oh! And duels has actually been a lot of fun! I’m glad I tried that mode out a few weeks ago. I probably would’ve stopped playing the game if it hadn’t been for that.

I’m a newbie, but I can’t really enjoy playing a priest anymore. The standard decks just a few,and I always encounter Arthas on the ladder.Priests are hard to deal with, and it makes me feel uncomfortable. But if I don’t complete the newbie stages,I can’t unlock the wild mode,I play priest just because I really like the character Anduin.

Priest is a bad class no matter which light you look at it in. They’re either bad and completely unplayable or so meta defining that you run into them every other match and have to sit through a 20-30min game every time. I prefer the former.

I think Elise could be good, once we get 2-3 more good deathrattle card. Im happy to hit either the 3/2 DR copy card or 2/6 dragon DR copy pasta.
Maybe some minion focused undead DR HL deck could work also… with that 5/4 neutral DE resummon and the priest 2/5 taunt resummon.

Hm. I will try it out.

tram heist is good inside ETC i pull it out late game if everlasting love is active

ive been using etc for more than tech cards i put " its a dead draw " type of cards meaning cards i want to generate but not to draw from my deck

Yeah, like I said before, it’s basically Big Priest. Big Priest wasn’t ever a “good” deck because of how draw can completely screw you over. It’s not consistent enough to be good.

The HL thing just makes it worse.

Go look at Big Rogue. It works because they are more consistent and don’t need a HL build to gimp it.

And like someone else said…you play it and get the miracle hit…then so what? It gets cleared and now your combo is dead. Other combos end games. This one really doesn’t.

By the time you’ve made it to turn 8 to get some huge board, stuff like Paladin had a board like that 3 turns ago.

I’d give Big Undead Elise priest a shot if I had Elise… but I don’t yet.

I’m honestly having fun with Overheal Control priest. Mainly Hedanis and Hauler. The deck has pretty good midgame, unlike a lot of control priest decks.

trying but but there’s not much room for priest.
to many lame otk decks in this game. and mindless agroo dump is just boring.

Priests are not gonna be relevant as long as Sif Mage is a thing, simple as.

I had a lot of fun with Control Reno Priest in Standard last month. Normally I am in gold rank since I do not care about climbing and I like to goof around. Last month I had so much fun with Reno Priest that I ended up in D10 before the month was over.

Yeah, they’re all playing against me with 500 board clears and single target removal while I’m playing Rainbow DK. Then when I stop playing slow decks, they’ll go play against somebody else.

For control Priest.

It’s what blizzard does when they give disruption tools for Control decks.

And they have that 3 mana minion for Control Priest.
Therefore thr deck is not planned to be good in a decent timespam.

i’ve said before i’m not a good deck builder. this might be slow, but maybe someone better than me could make it work. here’s my idea.

run reno deck with only minions being new elise and rivendare warrior. run draw/stall to get to this combo…

play kill rivendare.
next turn play elise pull all the warriors from deck. overheal elise with funnel cake then shadow word: ruin for otk… this was my first draft. open to thoughts.
i know it is easily disrupted patchwerk would wreck it.

edit: just had a thought, if we run jailer you could use the otk in almost any style deck.
not just limited to spells…maybe?

its not a new deck, its a one trick pony. if riv gets countert in some way it just boring.

was new to me because i didn’t have elise until they fixed the bug. I’ve never seen it in standard, sorry to bore you.

Elise summons 4/4 minions. Which ones are you going to Ruin?

Yeah, Reno Priest (no Elise) is pretty decent. Mage is its worst matchup but it’s proactive enough that the matchup isn’t so bad as to make the deck a write off. It feels favoured against Paladin to me provided you cut very heavy, overrated, late game cards like Yogg for a better early game and plan for their power spikes accordingly. Dragon Druid is a free win.

You just gotta know that on day 1 some greed priest player made a 40 card highlander deck.

They started by filtering by “legendary” and adding every card.
Filtered by epic and added every card.
Then looked for cards that generate copies or discover effects (duplicates allowed because they intend to play a 50 turn game).

Pinnacle greed priest achieved.

I’ve been toying around with this. It’s far from a final list, mainly the deck struggles with EITHER super fast aggro or really greedy control. A good Hauler chain can deal with aggro pretty well (just because he’s a lot of tempo). Greed can be an issue, but sometimes you just overwhelm them with like 4 copies of Elise.

Oh, and you probably want Thaddius in place of… maybe Mish Mash Mosher? I disenchanted him when they nerfed him and I’m not remaking him when he rotates in 5 months.
