I'm Getting Tired of Metas

there is a meme about that. A musician deciding to go all the way to farming ore and metal, refine it, make his own piano and saxophone, write his own music and song, then play it himself.

Umm… First off…
You need to stop playing collectable card games if your sick of Meta’s.

Second…
How could you be so arrogant to infer that others are not as smart as you?

Third…
You do know that IQ scores are not a viable way to gauge intelligence, right?

Yea man. I wonder what the average IQ is for astronauts. Since they just use the same methods and procedures for everything they must not be very smart to come up with different ways…

The odd thing about astronauts, IQ aside, is that extended time in space and low-grav can cause brain inflammation, and mitochondrial defects, not to mention that this can also cause the skull to elongate. As to their so-called IQ… Some data suggests that constant movement, and excessive visual stimuli enhances cognition.

I’ve been having a lot of problems with that actually. Since there’s a lot of viable classes and each one has it’s own archtype I run into a tonne of counter decks.

It’s impossible to counter the aggro of Paladin and Hunter, and the mid range value of Paladin and Warrior, and the burst of Mage, Rogue and Demon Hunter, and the control of Priest and Warlock.

Throw in whatever Druid and Shaman is doing.

I just can’t climb with anything homebrew. Something will counter me no problem even if I can get 50%+ winrate on classes like Hunter and Paladin.

and you’re #1 legend, right? wait, you’re just another terrible player who’s complaining about meta decks because he’s tired of getting rekt

not just ccg but other games as well, winning is fun, losing isn’t

Op, metas are necessary, in competitive CCGs even moreso, by design.

The only reason you can predict what your opponent will play is because there is a meta. You know your opponent isn’t gonna pull a polymorph against your big minion, but it’s much more likely to use Devolving Missiles. Thus, you try to play it amidst smaller minions.

Deck refinement too, is only possible knowing what other strategies the other players are most likely gonna employ.

Mulligan, too, is a skill that’s only appliable when there’s a meta.

The meta is what makes a ladder possible, OP.

I totally agree with all those analogies! You should see my straw shoes! Not good for walking on hot coals though! lol

It’s rather unfair to accuse netdeckers of low IQ when the dust system is designed to actively DISCOURAGE experimentation. The fact of the matter is that most HS players are either F2P or low-spenders, and so they have to be very stingy with their dust. Crafting experimental archetypes, or even tinkering with decklists is extremely dust inefficient. Every trial that doesn’t pan out is a serious chuck of your dust supply gone forever.

So it’s entirely plausible that many players would prefer to design their own lists, or modify other people’s lists, but doing so is too costly for them.

Terrible analogy is terrible, but keep patting yourself on the back thinking that it was even remotely the same.

It would be more akin to style and fashion not actually making your own of something in the sense of LITERAL manufacturing. It’s actually funny how people in the real world actual do rebel against being forced to wear the same outfit as others which is more akin to what the OP is saying.

Stop playing the competitive modes if you don’t want to compete with competitive decks?
