Well, that’s true enough, but I could post years of every single mage deck that has ever been better than tier 4 being complained and cried about and every old timer here knows it.
can’t really blame the card. but you’re forced to play a fast/agressive deck that has a chance. yeah there are formulas that actually work IF YOU OWN/WANT TO PLAY that specific deck ofc.

You said “no matter what mage is given”. That’s present tense.
So I also responded in the present tense (“nobody’s complaining”, as in nobody is complaining)
That you are now trying to weasel back to some vague undefined past “back in the day” is just that… weaseling. That you resort to attacking my memory - a personal attack - is again much like how China in recent years reacts to criticism - attack back and throw shade at whoever is criticizing them or just “the west” in general.

There are no present mage meta decks beyond Quest mage.

Your original statement didn’t say anything about something being meta (isn’t one of your talking points that mage doesn’t even have to be tier 1 to be complained about anyway? So who cares if of the things I listed is or isn’t meta?)

Gran finale mage is literally pre nerf naga sea witch deck with extra steps.
Hero Power mage has incanters flow draw RNG with Wildfire.
In the end what the class really lacks are Just cards that stand by themselves.
Is stop “feeling good” to “be” good. Those 2 are very different.

I mean, I know I have played a couple of those meme mage decks I listed and even won a few. I’m doing my part to make sure people complain about literally everything mages have been given. In that sense I’m actually helping to make Mall’s statement true ;p
So far doesn’t seem to making much progress though.
See my other reply to Mall - the original statement is only about what mages were given, without specifying the things they were given have to be good (quote unquote good… mage not exactly tier 1 material)
I don’t believe ignite overpowered on it’s own in a normal deck. The problem is when you can play all the spells in your deck in one turn. In a normal mage deck it only usually ends up as a 2 mana deal 3-4 damage after playing it 1-2 times as the underpowered version. 0 cost spells seem more to blame to me for the mage complaints. I don’t tend to have a problem with mage myself. I think it would be a shame to nerf such a neat card because of one deck its good in especially since I don’t think the bad feeling people are feeling would be addressed.
Don’t pull me in as a scapegoat, red herring, or whatever. It’s a forum, not a private conversation. People reply to each others’ comments. You respond when not spoken directly to as well.

If you really wanna to discuss “know How” with mage players implying they not know their own decks then i Just outright stop here.
And yes. You’re doing exactly that when you get an actual explanation on how the decks work and still make some absurdly assumptions to justify your point.
They’re actually far highrolly and generate far more feels bad momments than questline mage will ever dream.
But obviously in your head everyone loves get smashed by a ton of 8/8 elementals summoned by turn 5.
It isn’t like not even wild players tolerate that despite of winrate.
Is someone deliberately derailing every thread they post in considered a legitimate reason for banning them from the forum?

No, there is a clear difference where Mage and Priest are concerned and it’s not even up for debate.
So, because I wasn’t literal enough, you took the opportunity to assume that I was referring to decks that no one plays, and suck in the current meta. Right.
Well, now you know differently, and every one of those deck were complained about incessantly when they were meta, and no one knows it better than you.
People always complain about decks that are popular or beat their deck. Only your own confirmation bias makes it worse for mage. I’d say people have whined way more about questline warlock than questline mage for example.
The only way in which it might be worse for mage, is that mage enables a lot of combo decks, and they have their freeze mechanic (which people don’t like) and people REALLY hate combo decks.
But Ramp Druid has gotten at least as much hate. Then there’s Tikatus Warlock, pretty much every popular shaman deck, Dr. Boom control warrior, big priest, WotLK tempo rogue, and un’goro quest rogue of course. And literally any time Face Hunter has existed, people have hated it.
I don’t think Ignite deserves hate at all, though. That’s just reacting to other things mage has which enable it.

i think no matter what any iq says vs a OMG WTF person in a phone ftp game has a wtf 1650 posts… like that is insanse even if you were a player the the beta is a WTF thing to have… the irrelevnet thing is talking to a stalcker or crazy person about ANY sub with the passion of a meh and broken game as a lifestyle … and 5200 in a FREEEEEE tOOO play game why… who da hell loves a game so much they ignore its broken and comment 4-8times a day…
