By definition, every Ranked game of Hearthstone has an average winrate of exactly 50%. Either it 1 loss and 1 win generated from each game, or two ties — and ties are counted as half a win. There is no way that the average winrate for the entire system can be anything but 50%. You don’t need data for this. It’s flipping obvious.
So if you rig the game such that the lowest tier of players has 50% winrate — which we know these players have, based on millions of games — then there is no place to take wins from to give any group more than 50% winrate. You can’t have a win without a corresponding loss.
Also i just wanted to give an idea off motivation why some people might experience weird patterns and some dont.
In the end we dont nknow.
All i know is that the games companie i worked for had a special community manager attached to our high value players that spend thousands of euros each month and they were treated very special, because they paid our bills and made the revenue.
If you own a shop who you treat better, those who spend money or those who come for the free samples ?
Who will be more severed if there is an issue the one that just bought cloth worth of sthousands or the one that have an issue with the free sample is not it should be.
Paying customers already get treated better. They get packs and cosmetics that f2p players don’t.
If you own a shop, do you give your customers more than they paid for, without letting them know at any point that they are getting more than they paid for?
A F2P, Small fry, and whale walk into a blizzard bar and play hearthstone.
If the F2P player wins 5 games and loses 5, a small fry wins 7 and loses 3, and a whale wins 9 and loses 1 there are 5 + 5 + 7 + 3 + 9 +1 = 30 / 2 players = 15 games.
Of those there were 5 + 7 + 9 = 21 winners
And 5 + 3 + 1 = 9 losers .
Its more the possible to give whales better % then the f2p players and its likly to be that way.
And trusting hsreplay on data, when they produce products for blizzard is like naive to think they are correct. Its just a coverup.
BUT like i said we dont know. But its more likely if they rig the games for a low % of whales they also cover this up with fake data to make it Bulletproof.
And everyone with a braincell can see why they would want to rig games in favour of their whales since its a million dollar buisness.
There’s no chance that Blizzard goes out of their way to give certain players an advantage without letting those players know about it. No chance whatsoever.
“Hey, did you get the Mountain Dew from the store?”
“No.”
“But I gave you the money for it.”
“Yeah, well… you fell asleep driving and crashed the car.”
“Woman, that was two years ago.”
And none of those disaffected employees broke their promise not to tell.
You make a claim that some scenario is happening and all data to the contrary is faked, there is no possibility of discussion.
It’s the same as arguing that your brain is in a jar in a lab wired up and receiving signals that make you think you’re in a body. It’s cheaper to keep a brain alive than a whole body, so it’s naive to think the government wouldn’t do it.
