You should quit a game that you are not very good at. Why waste your time and everybody else.
Thanks for the various advices. I might try priest a little, altough I don’t like their design at the moment. I’ll probably just stop playing, for a while at least. It seems like the most reasonable thing to do. It’s also good to know I’m not the only one who doesn’t enjoy this meta.
This is one of the most stupid things I’ve read in a long, long time. Congratulations, that’s quite an achievement. Good luck in your life with such a line of thought.
You got me curious, I looked at my transaction history for Hearthstone, how much I spent on this game since closed beta, 504.64 euros What a bloody idiot I am
But no regrets. The last thing I bought was Rastakhan’s Rumble Challenger’s Bundle and 15 Boomsday packs. Never again, I buy packs only for gold now, not gonna spend any cent on it ever again.
Pfft
Play Warlock. The RNG will give you shadow flame on turn 4 so you’re covered. Twilight Drake will be 100% chance in your hand so strike with it on 5 if anything evolves above 4 health or play Shadowflame.
Then next turn drop Doomsayer, cause that will be in your hand 100% chance
With Rogue. Use your automatic in hand Backstab, Vendetta, Eviscerate*, Sap*
*optional in deck.
Drop your Pirate Burlgar on one. Blink Fox on 3, Henchclan Thug on 4.
Now when the Shaman evolves you can destroy almost all of them with our counter pattern.
Dont forget your legendary you get automatically to convert anything really good into a 2/3.
Mage, Freeze it up. Lock it Down. Then on 5 is Zilliax, 6, Blizzard and the rest you just pwn after this round.
Or get ready to use you Sorcerer Apprentice when you have Flamewaker and Mana Cyclone (all by turn 5) - now let those Zero cost spells fly and reload 8 cards in your hand with Cyclone!
Quest Druid. Too easy to play. No explanation needed.
*RottenApplebaum and *Khartut Deathrattle Lifesteal/. 100% chance to have on turn 5 and 6 as well.
Warlock is the meta deck of all meta decks
I haven’t seen enough complaints regarding evolve shaman situation that’s been going on in standard, I am kind of surprised by it. This deck literally killed my will to play the game. Had some fun ideas and experiments with two friends I’d recently befriended over game; can’t even bring myself to launch the game.
After a long day of studying literature, literary criticism, shakespeare, all manners of poetry and novels and translate for a fistful of money, this is the only thing that’s available to me when I’m free since my computer has been water damaged and still awol.
It may seem like we are exaggerating the situation, but I cannot climb any rank above 10 in standard. While I’ve never been really good at it, I’ve also never been this bad; usually get the rank 5 rewards at the end of the month. A few months back, I decided to make a comeback to wild and I consistently hit rank 1-2. Given enough time and with more cautious optimism I could make it to legend easily as well. Standard? Literal Inferno, every single layer of which accomodates at least one evolve shaman.
Shaman never was a popular class in Hearthstone and tbh, I was never a fan. But now I hate it ever so increasingly as not only it gets more and more popular with meta sheeps, but also because it reminds me again how dull the pleasures of this game has become and reason I vowed never to purchase anything Hearthstone ever again some time ago.
Literal braindead infinite value deck that clogs the meta and forces you to not overextend, i.e. not play control or midrange albeit midrange can do just fine without extending.
The only good thing to have ever come out of quest shaman’s popularity is the dwindled popularity of combo priest and that’s it; nothing more.
It sickens me to know that no matter when do I decide to fire up hearthstone, there is a very high chance of getting matched with quest shaman in 2-3 successions. Yuck!
There have been plenty of the threads over the entire month. I got sick of seeing it. But, yes, the way Shaman evolves play out and shuts out the opponent is unfun, despite being able to win against it multiple times.
Firebat talks about it here while playing Rogue:
He still ends up winning lol
Meh on HS replay Secret Hunter is right behind Evolve.
Why?
Yes, Evolve Shamans be it Quest or Pure get the cards to win by turn 5, sometimes earlier sometimes later by + or - 2 turns.
Lets look at Secret Hunter.
- Drop those Secrets for defense baby! Who runs secret removal?
- Snatching and better early board is possible. Who gets the better top deck here?
- Evolve Shamans don’t run TURN 5 Zilliax! Secret Hunters do so drop TURN 5 Zilliax for the Automatic game swing.
- Now you’re back in control. Drop Test Subject 9. I know I know youre saying both Zilliax and Test Subject 9 are legendaries and the odds of them being there on…SsshSsshh, DOnt worry! This is PATTERNSTONE BABY! Zilliax WILL be there on turn 5 and you play Test Subject 9 whenevs you feel 6 - 8 based on mana. Then you drop those game winning secrets based on what your opponent drops.
He made a board? Drop Flametrap again. He dropped a baddie? Drop Freeze. Maybe gamble with Snipe. Test 9 gave you all the game winning cards. Well with the RNG to boot because…
You played Animal Companion on turn 3, that was 100% chance card to have and played. You got extra spells off your Butterflies. 100% chance to have.
The Secret Hyenas you played by late early game…
Twinspelled the Wyverns during mid…
And turn 10 is coming and if the game is still on the line. Its turn 10 baby!! You know what time it is!! Even with over half the deck yet to draw…
Thats right, Zuljin is OP. Now you just won as you get to play every spell card you played the WHOLE game for just 1 card. WINNER! GG.
Quest is the biggest problem here not Evolve because Quest gives them insane value and it is so easy to complete with all those Lackeys. Evolve is just the cherry on the cake.
im pretty sure evolve is what is making this meta
