A world in which we all think alike and agree on everything would be boring, though.
Yeah, glad youâre favorite deck got trashcanned.
It never should have existed, tomorrow you will need to play a deck that actually involves a little more interaction.
Good riddance.
Well,this is very sad.
I guess it was time to rotate the meta. Iâm starting to see a logical pattern to this tactic. I bet there is a point where the meta gets stale from domination and itâs better to mix it up than it is to attempt perfect balance. They are aware it will break this deck.
If Blizzard was concerned about the meta being stale, youâd see control decks actually being played more than once every ten matchups at Diamond or higher.
Itâs been a purely face meta for over the past three months, nothing has changed or been ârotatedâ.
Ragnaros:
t1:1-2 minions
t2:1-2 minions
t3:2-3 minions
t4:4-5 minions
t5:5-6 minions
t6:6-7 minions
You will get the hero power most likely after t7 so turn 8 will be the first time you get +8+8. The hero power itself is very good obviously, though you wont be able to make optimal use of it because you have to order your minions in a certain way. Cleaves first obviously and probably no spawns, but if you want to buff say 2 cleaves you would have to put the 2nd one last. A big divine taunt in the back would be a good target as well.
Its pretty good i think, the hero power once activated is very strong but it takes a while to get there.
Chenvala:
looks kinda weak at first impression, having to play 3 elementals you first need get them in the shop and then -2 might not line up all that well.
Rakanishu:
i guess this is a buff and not changing into? else it would be horrible lol.
Seems kinda expensive and its random as well. Probably not that good but maybe.
At 8 gold on t3 is seems ok,buy 2 and hero power. Still might hit a bad target but its decent tempo at the cost of 2 rolls or sell 1 buy 3.
Allakir:
Seems really strong,op?
Elementals:
seems difficult to pump up their attack?
Interesting patch, looking forward to the heroes and elementals.
When is it beeing implemented, today already?
Pirate Warrior got nerfed last expansion when Corsairâs Cache was changed to just give +1 durability to weapons (not that anyone plays it anymore, mind you, itâs all Bomb Warrior these days). Discard Warlock hasnât been a thing this expansion, and the one aggro Warlock deck (Pain Warlock) got nerfed when Darkglare was changed to only give 1 mana crystal.
So yeah, two out of the three decks youâre complaining about were nerfed, one of them into non-existence (Pain Warlock).
im surprised by this nerf
this feels like the nerfs they did before without intending to change the meta if all the classes still have a viable deck they are being extremely careful to not change this so they hit a deck like turtle mage knowing it wont have a big impact in the meta
I dont see how theres much use for it anymore considering itâs an 8 cost, a new card turned into an old card. I do believe there could have been some extended nurfs say with priest and troll res mechanics, allowing a 1/1 copy of minions and summons from deck while resing them at full is one thing, then the card that spawns a ded minion end of every round, I mean câmon blizz wtf. Yeh the mage loop was a joke we all tried, but itâs like you guys prefer some jokes over others, just tired of the favouritism is all which seems pretty darn consistant.
Iâd imagine theyâve decided to leave certain classes in tact that will be countered by future, yet to be initiated characters akin to demon hunter, all best guesses at this stage.
The nerf was needed, however I think they should have also reduced the cost of turtle to say 6, that 8 seems very encumbering now
Will the deck now be called the Red Bellied Short Necked Turtle Mage?
That is actually my favorite Turtle.
Maybe in wild because pocket Galaxy. But in standard it was used primarily to be a two of stuff like deep freeze, power of creation, yogg etc.
They should have dropped the mana cost to 7 or even 6 as compensate.
They cant make it cost 6 or 7 or its just better than dragoncaster kinda
to me it feels like the wild version of the deck was stronger so the nerf will be easier to notice in it
Mage is constantly on the bottom of the list. I finally get a deck I can win with and Blizzard get rid of it. I only play mage so my range of wins is limited.
