Mage’s cards are still missing some pieces to make it a playable class.
However, Blizzard thinks it’s the Murloc Paladin that needs help.

It’s the same old song. Everyone will say: “wait until next set and these cards will be great!”
I have been hearing that line since 2013.
According to VS 329, mage ranks higher than paladins in legend, both top 1k and all of legend.
It’s only diamond and below where (quest) paladin ranks higher, with it being near bottom tier 1 while mage is near top of tier 2.
By play rate, mage also is played more (though this isn’t to say pally play rate is bad, or we wouldn’t hear so much about people seeing them everywhere)
I know the paladin class triggers people’s emotions, but if you look a the numbers objectively, yes the class does need more help than mage.

Maybe that explains why you say all the crazy things you say. Perhaps you came from an alternative dimension or timeline where HS was released a year early, and all the crazy things you say are actually true.
I have been playing since beta release October 2013, as my nephew is a former employee.

the one holy spell priest got is terrible
warlock didnt get a single card to get temporary ones
not sure the cards hunter got is something youd want in aquest deck either
I didn’t see any cards that I thought were good either.
I’ve spoken with a couple of players who post here, and they said the cards were intentionally weak…
Still don’t know why they don’t nerf older cards to balance things out, if that is true.

Mage is arguably stronger than murloc paladin. You can look up VS syndicate and they give you all the top performing decks ATM.
I can’t speak for other classes, but I read the Mage reviews from VS, Aug 31st. They think they are all junk.
