The tavern bar buff called Tell A Story gives +2 +2 to a minion. Well I had a Doppelgangster that was buffed by this and its a 4/4 but his copies only created 2/2s. What gives Blizzard?

didnt they changed it like a year ago cuz people cried that other gangsters getting buffs too ? iām pretty sure they did cuz of a handbuff paladin , in order to nerf it they changed it that only the first one to get buff and others not ^^ , not 100% sure but i think that was the reason

This is not the case: Doppelgangster has not been changed, and I myself put it to good use in my Handbuff Paladin just yesterday. 
You must be thinking of Saronite Chain Gang, which was indeed nerfed to summon a fresh 2/3 Saronite Chain Gang instead of a copy, in December 2018. This was to address the self-duplication interaction with Shudderwock, but of course it also nerfed the handbuff interaction.
