Demon Hunter WAAAY overturned

you forgot silence+draw…

On turn 8 play the 3/1 that does 3 damage to enemies when a minion dies then do the 6 1/1 rushes for 18 damage. They then follow it up on turn 9 with the legendary that by then summons him as an 8/8 and 2 further random 10 cost minions. U can also do another combo with 2 of those 3/1 and the 3 1/1 rush…that also does 18 damage. Demon hunter is basically a massively overpowered avalanche that starts from turn 1. I just don’t get how this could have passed any form of play testing prior to release. It is beyond rediculous and at least 5 of the cards need to be reworked to be far less powerful

I really wanted to play the new warrior cards and all but demon hunter is surprise surprise, everywhere. I understand that it is new class and the hype is still going but it simply annoys me that they are always otk or aggro.

i really wonder why this class even exists? what does it do differently than rogue, warrior, priest, warlock, hunter etc. and ofc it had to be a face bull aggro version from all of them combined. i wouldve been mega hyped for monk instead, you can make fantastic weird buildarounds with those that would be very challenging in how you play them etc. i wouldve loved that one

but ofc we just get the herpdiderp me go face face face crap class

They have better everything. Better draw, weapons (poor truesilver), better minions, better face pressure, better draw, better draw, better healing, better aoes, better draw, did I mention better draw? OMG the DRAW, did he just draw his entire deck??!!1

you didnt mention 0 cost draw, i believe

Demon Hunter only has 50% win rate in standard … because there is only Demon Hunter on the standard ladder now.

In wild, they still can’t quite complete against the well honed decks … yet. But they are getting there.

So… what you’re saying is that DH is balanced?
I suppose this is what the devs wanted.

I would be really surprised if it wouldnt receive Gala Shaman treatment in less than a week from now = increase mana cost of several cards.

It’s there heavy cycling that makes them broken. At the end of the game, they’re at a 14 card draw advantage. Let them have there op Demons, but heavily limit there drawing.

I’m sure there must be an anti-DH Warrior build to be built, they have all the tools to beat it , life gain, good removal including strong AoE and decent defensive minions.

People just don’t know yet how to play against demon hunter, aggro decks are literally the worst ones to use against DH who similar to rogue, have great early to mid game tempo plays that destroy aggro, however, nearly all of their minions are extremely aggressively statted and thus very vulnerable to removal, they don’t really have any sticky minions either. Like priests and warlocks that just play ton of removal really destroy most demon hunter decks, I am sure warriors can do it too.

pre rotation control warrior would push the DH to t2. Though warrior lost a lot of solid control and “out-armor the face dmg” cards.

Atm Im trying to build a mage deck. Their aoe freeze+clears, followed up by “wipe a small-dudes board” secret + freeze DH face and summon 2 elementals that would keep him frozen is solid though it needs way more tweaking - good 90% of my games are against DH so its easy to tweak it

There has been no doubt even before release that DH will get nerfed later.

I suppose I should stop tinkering with my warlock and wreck some DH wins before they get nerfed.

In wild, at legend, i dont see quest mages anymore.

Wild jade druid is about 50/50 according to a legend wild druid main on my friend list.

Warlock isn’t beating DH, too much direct damage.

I am doing the same and it works pretty well, about 50/50 now against them.

I’ve won 10 out of 15 games against demon hunter with this deck. And 69% winrate overall.

Better nerf Prep again.

I always say to myself, no HS anymore. The Game died with Ben Brode.

And from Expansion to Expansion ist getting worse and worse. So sad man!
