Deck Tracker - Use or No Use?

Matthew 7:6 I guess.

So if I understand correctly, mulligan winrate indications do not change every match?
I thought it did keep in mind opponent’s archetype or at least opponent’s class(usually there is only one deck per class that is viable). Or does it show only the overall winrate of the match up?

At least D0nkey only has the class. Even if it did go by archetype it would still be problematic. It would most probably not have a good sample size (it doesn’t need only a lot of samples of the archetype but a lot of samples of each card draw).

And that is not even the biggest problem since it ignores what other cards are in the mulligan.

Players who know exactly how their deck works should disable those stats entirely.

They do change every match, but no, they don’t track the archetypes, just the classes, on default

As far as I know, you can manually input the opponent’s deck if you’re sure about which one it is, but it’ll take you a long time to build up a useful sample out of those games

Anyway, as I was saying 3 posts before (one post before the one you liked), it doesn’t really matter. If there is just one deck per class, then you know you’re getting the best possible mulligan against that deck, and if there’s more, you’re getting the best possible mulligan against that class ON AVERAGE, which is the best possible mulligan you can get UNLESS you 100% know your opponent’s correct deck (which you won’t know).

That’s the power of statistics. There’s this whole self-organizing complexity behind the data, but the data don’t care. They give you a summary, which can be interpreted in various different ways, and you better understand the context of it.

Needless to say, Carnivore doesn’t really understand anything at all.

Only use it if you have a widescreen. Otherwise it’ll just add needless clutter.

@PrincessYuki - I did notice that and that was the reason I stopped using it on my laptop cuz it often hit things that I wanted to see. Thank you for your input!

Idk about Hearthstone Deck Tracker, but in Firestone you can drag and drop the layout elements anywhere on your screen, not to mention you can disable the ones you don’t need

I have never heard of Firestone. Might check it out. But again, I don’t play competitively I play casually so I probably have no need for it  Thank you though!

I stopped using decktracker apps because they lagged out my game, Constantly crashed and did very little to actually help in any aspect. Firestone being the worst as far as crashing my sh*t.

No use.

While I also think it might have been made worse with Firestone, those crashes were client’s fault and have now been resolved. I haven’t had a crash in over a month now.

outside of the in-game aspect, I use the decktracker a lot for the replay system, in my case mostly to test bug reports and share the replay either to confirm or debunk the report. In some cases I also use it to check what happened in my game at a point I didn’t understand something
In that regard, the HSReplay deck tracker is superior
