I checked the lists in https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/hearthstone/t/read-40-lorebooks/89333/292 and it seems you’ve listed them all. The free ones in the first encounter do count toward the 40. I made it to 40 without finding both versions of Creatures of the Ancient Seas so you don’t need both.
