Yes, and it breaks the entire game. It has better control than control decks because it doesn’t have to waste space on backup win conditions.
It allows them to be less weak to aggro than traditional control decks, while also having a guaranteed win against control decks.
There is no inherent weakness to combo decks in hearthstone. They are just the best form of control decks. If aggro can take them down, it can also take down traditional control decks just fine.
Fatigue decks largely don’t work even in the absence of combos like that. It’s tough to remove everything an opponent can do forever. It doesn’t need combo existing to keep those decks from being good.
The greedier they get to fight other control decks, the weaker they get to other decks.
“Win first” is an invalid argument to play around a deck, as it is universal.
It’s basically “it doesn’t matter how unfun it is, you can just play something faster!”
Every play should have direct and consistent counterplays in addition to “win faster”
You should be able to universally outrange hunter’s charge bursts with Krush without just racing them. That way it doesn’t matter how much they stall you out with hounds, just like it doesn’t matter that blood DK can use them for it.
Sustain isn’t scary when you aren’t giving the deck an auto win condition.
The auto win condition is always bad design. It invalidates slower decks and makes it important to limit how much sustain blizzard makes just to make sure the COMBO can’t happen often.
