Bob is INSANE in Rogue

Bob isn’t allowed in this tournament because it was released this week.

What about the legendary rogue spell as well dont leave that one out, and zola and fizzle and the panderan and the other one

100% not worth it.
20 characters.

If that card is so strong as you keep making it, then it’s the other way around - aggro decks should be running it, rather than control ones

Control decks already have lots of answers for anything that might come down, but good luck pushing through the Dungar walls as an aggro deck

I just beat a starship rogue because she didn’t expect/forgot to play around mind control tech, and I stole his legendary starship piece :joy:

And I was starship warlock, so thank you! :joy:

That allowed my starships to both wipe your board (which included an expense and exodar) and soak up the damage from your starship’s DR (he had one hunter starship piece)

He did manage to griftah one of my starships can basically lifesteal to full and get some armor, but by then he’s in fatigue and I dropped kil’jaden.

Could have went totally differently if I didn’t steal that starship piece.

Yeah, the point here is even before Bob, there are ways to punish minions. If you think about it, the modern version of mind control tech is as powerful as sylvanas (either the OG DR one or the infuse one in wild)

Honestly, it’s probably ok in aggressive decks too, given that if you don’t need the tech options he’s just a 6 mana 4/5 with a discovered 3 drop and 3 mana refreshed to play it or something else, effectively making Bob a 3 mana 4/5 with a discover.

I mean, good Neutral battlecry minion becomes insane in a deck with Shadowsteps and infinite Breakdances? Duh, that never happened before… oh wait

It is technically a very good way to remove an early Ziliax/Thunderbringer. I could see it possibly making it into a Shaman build. Not sure what I would cut for Bob though.

On that note, I just did this lol. I took Ziliax then took his Eonar while making a free copy of Bob. I could have looped Bob at least 3 more times but he conceded.

Wait wait wait, Bob is a GREAT card yall. You get 3 COINS!!! Thats a steal! Literally!

I decided to test it in sludgelock, and what do you know? I managed to play him only 2 times in 10 games because I either didn’t draw him or I managed to burn him.

Just my luck to have the card I need never coming to me

EDIT: Next game exactly the same, the first card burned xD hahahahah

EDIT 2: And the one game after, same xD

EDIT 3: AGAIN, 1st CARD BURNED IS BOB, 13th game!!! WHY IS THIS GAME RIGGED???

Glad to see more people are catching on that Bob is awesome as a support card.

He literally made my janky homebrew Priest deck go to 90% win rate in Legend vs Druid, Warrior, and DK.

He also gave me a reason to run Caricature Artist and Cash Cow, two cards I always wanted to mess around with.

Thats really expensive and time consuming for a minion that doesnt advance your gameplan. I dont see it being a play that happens often. Rarely will this be the best line when you can use sonya to kill people with other cards (the best use case i can think of for this is vs something like mech warrior to deny multiple taunts, but that’s one matchup with a deck that isnt popular). Shadowstep is a valuable resource and in any rogue deck there are at least 3 other minions you would rather use it on than bob. I could see using 1 step on it, but a step a mini scoundrel and a sonya on Bob sounds like overcommiting unless your deck is specifically built around locking your opponent out with bob

Bob is definitely a great card dont get me wrong

Idk bob feels kinda win more in rogue, you still lose to swarm decks in general but now you have another clunky high mana neutral.

Does it severely beat slower decks? Sure, but you lose all the harder to aggro.

Now, DK/Priest on the other hand? Let’s go.

But he is good against swarm decks. You can freeze them out of the game

You don’t do all that on 1 turn.

You play bob and shadowstep him and neutralize the board.

Then, on any future turn, you play a whole 6 mana to steal 2 more minions from the board.

Could actually be a great strategy against slower decks with just a few particular threats in their whole deck, such as Dungar Druid, Warriors, DK-s

Against other decks, you probably wouldn’t even survive long enough to execute the combos without first using key pieces of it for survival

The additional bonus is, the whole combo consists of just a couple of cards, so you have your whole starship deck to protect you long enough to draw and execute it.

Also there’s the fact that even if bouncing Bob repeatedly isn’t your deck’s optimal play, it will sometimes be the turn/game’s optimal play.

You have to play with the cards you have, and not the ones you wish you had.

And Bob is hardly a bad card.

I can definitely see this card causing a lot of complaints. Right now, we have a lot of the “remove or steal your big thing cards”. In that regard, this is just another one of those that will still be here after titans are gone. The freeze concerns me a lot more with potential bounce abuse and locking someone out of the game.
