Honestly, I think it’s bots a lot of the time… If I was building a deck to work with a bot I’m pretty sure it would be some kind of OTK combo deck as they are basically just slot machines…

I think that most players play what deck is fun to them. It isn’t a secret Hunter is my favorite class to play.
There is a history of Hunter being annoyingly aggro. I should stop playing my favorite class because internet randos want to judge my idea of fun?
When I play Hearthstone, it is for MY enjoyment. I don’t care what my opponent thinks or believes. As long as they’re willing to play. We all have equal access to the concede button.
The idea that me playing Hearthstone is all about emotional manipulation of my opponent is absurd. People play games to have fun.

No you are not. Not a single mage would say that.
Anyway, this card is nerfed and actually requires combo and turn 9 to start trying to win. Meanwhile aggro decks annihilate you in turn 4-5.

Fully agree. I was saying that tongue in cheek.
However, I do think that regarding this particular issue, a generalization can be made. There are certain types of individuals that enjoy these solitaire decks. Players that enjoy the fact that their opponents often have no agency and are also having their time wasted. The types of players that belong in a padded cell, while being supervised and on heavy doses of barbiturates. That’s me being kind.

I’d rather watch the old, pre-nerf infinite Shudderwock animations than see a mage taking practically infinite turns.
Shudderwock should be banned too. Cards like this only encourage Face Decks.

aggro decks were always popular because aggro games are shorter games looong before shudderwock was added
