There is plenty of that it seems.
I am not ashamed to say I am terrible at the mode. I think my best ever run was maybe five or six wins.

Oh donāt get me wrong, Iām likely the worst arena player here. Iāve played maybe 20 games total and my biggest win is 3.

I donāt think so. Iām a casual player, mainly playing arena and a bit standard.
At the start of emerald dream expac, i had 1.3k gold and 3k dust. Before arena revamp, i had 1.6k gold, full of emerald dream collection and 18k dust. So itās save to say i could go infinite arena by arena reward + battle pass reward without paying.
But my gold ran out soon when new arena comes. Now i only have 295 gold, so i canāt start a new underground arena without paying. It 's hard to say new arena mode 's better or worse, but the reward part 's worse for sure.
It was so much harder to go infinite in Arena in later years. The game simply changed from a value oriented trade style game looking to hold the board. Now Arena is just a more disturbingly OP version of standard. Going infinite is way harder though since you need a minimum of 7 wins in Underground to pull that off and that is quite difficult.
Itās absolutely great for new player since the same OP garbage standard gameplay is what they see in Arena these days.
Edit: mistyped 6 wins as infinite when itās 7.
It 's impossible to going infinite with 6 wins right now. It became 7 wins to be possible.
I did a couple of 6 wins runs yesterday and still ran out of gold for entry.

For anyone who is not paying attentionā¦ all they did in the recent years was to extract more gold from the game, thus pushing people towards the shop.
Thats all there is.

I donāt think that problems is affected much by these changes. If anything theyāll be slightly more appealing as gold has become more scarce.
Gold has not changed for barcode accounts. They did not get their gold in arena, they got it in other modes and from the reward track.
But to play the big mode, you have to run the smaller one and win games, meaning the farmers would have to play arena on every barcode account before they could draft an underground deck.
That step is an additional hurdle without a doubt.
It also costs barcode double to retire for the redraft in Underground for whatever thatās worth.

wtf are you talking about. More chances to regular joes? you literally get less chances thatās the whole point of the update. Why would this have less of a problem with āasian streamersā?
Because regular 5 win arena is free from barcode decks.

The only reason Iāve been playing Hearthstone for the past 8 or so years is for the 12 Win Arena run challenge. This SUCKS
Saddens me to say after so many years playing this game, but Iām officially done. Arena was the last thing keeping me interested and theyāve completely ruined it all so they can try to squeeze out some more profit. It was a lot of fun over the years but Iām afraid this is the last straw for me. I guess if Iām being honest I was probably going to quit playing eventually anyways, but this has sealed the deal.
Sadly this is a very true reality of Underground arena. Itās infested with BC decks.
