It’s a “finite loop”
That still sounds very unintended behavior. A programmer would add that 30-40 limit as a last resort failsafe, and not something to plan.

I understand the distinction that the other poster is trying to make but I still feel that the term “infinite” is something that most players would relate to. If there is no cap on damage, then the health of the player is irrelevant, thus “infinite” best describes this loop.
*Edit, I rewatched the end of the video. The damage loop appears to end when I have 4 health (I had 5 armour so I lived). However, my turn was skipped (6:34), and he was able to finish me off. I actually drew the counter needed (Deafen) and I could have still gained health in theory from Stick Up, while using my hero power to shield myself.
