A Testimony - Why I don't play Hearthstone anymore

LProbably not, but discussion is useful by itself. Maybe another New player won’t do the same by reading this thread

Sure, sure… except it’s missing the part where I didn’t start it with that poster and simply responded to their literal troll post.

I mean, I feel like there are a bunch of people who come here and get upset when the community doesn’t 100% agree with whatever crybaby whine they brought today. Just because some people take the time to share a different view doesn’t make them a troll.

If you don’t have full context you can miss things. There are plenty of posters here that have a history of conflict between them that are otherwise fine to the rest of the community.

Anyway, I stand by my assessment that the player who I have never had back an forth with insulted me and that player can go much a bag of something with bad flavor.

so you got a free deck and you didnt use it, and now your here

I haven’t played but 1 game in like the last 7 days. I just got tired of running into the stupid tickatus and wretched tiller and this yogg sarin. Hearthstone was one of my all time favorite games but I can no longer waste my time with a game that can end me off of 1 or 2 cards no matter how big of a lead I have. People can just set on these cards and play them and game over. When I first started playing this game right as the Galakrond deck came out I loved it! But it’s gone to shi* every since. No thanks!

If you are way ahead Tickatus is far too slow to mess you up though. If, however, you were waiting on a combo or are playing a slower control, yes, it can blow up your win condition.

Wretched Tiller was fixed.

Yogg is annoying and like any of the other clown-fiesta cards it feels terrible to lose against, I will give you that. But again, requires spell use and a slower/grindy game.

I’m almost sorry that I took a month off.

I quit for 2-3 years but the returning player deck helped me so much when I came back. By now I have a lot of good decks that I’ve basically crafted since I came back. f2p btw

LOL, man you never disappoint. LOL. At least I’m not the only who sees it.

It isn’t my fault so many of you are afraid to own your role in your failures as much as you crow about your success. Telling the truth isn’t always popular.

Look, I am sure it always rng that makes it hard.

As usual and like previous posters have said you’re missing the point of the OP’s topic and made this about you and no-one on these forms “crows” as much as you do my friend.

You apparently don’t read the forums.

Then tell me, what is the point?

Drop your pearls of wisdom and let us marvel at your greatness and hearthstone acumen.

go go!

Guess what???

I agree, but, the twitter reply from the devs few days ago about wild was saying “we wont balance wild bc we want to cater to those who want their old decks totally left alone!”

Yet, those old decks wont win, powercreep happens each expansion.

Isn’t that crazy? You’re statement, and the devs, collide, and you’re right!

Super jank i know right

If there was enough demand for a new constructed mode with rotating sets and maybe banlists I’m sure they’d do it. I’d play the hell out of that.

Part of the skill involved is making good decks. Which also involves knowing and researching what cards there are available. Of course you won’t do well using old outdated cards no matter what. And why should you? Focus on the skill aspect after you have the cards to actually compete. If you don’t want to spend money or take the time to acquire the gold to get a decent deck, then wait till you lose enough to face players in your situation. But don’t expect a high ranking.

Also, OP, skill in card games come sfrom understanding and reacting to your opponents choices by knowledge of the meta. If you didn’t give yourself time to acquaint to the meta, you can’t even start to measure your skill.

so you played a deck from early 2014 and are mad you lost to a modern deck?

Frankly, many cards, especially Druid’s, have been nerfed or moved to Hall of Fame since then so it would be much worse than it would have been in 2014.

Wild Growth is no longer 2 mana.
Innervate only gives 1 mana, not 2.
Naturalize is Hall of Fame
Ancient of Lore only draws 1, not 2
Nourish costs 6 instead of 5
Keeper of the Grove is a 2/2 instead of 2/4
Force of Nature summons 3 2/2s instead of 3 2/2s with charge

Did I miss anything?

assuming something out of other without reading properly.
so mature of you.

on serious note :
OP claim he doesn’t like this game and that’s is his/her opinion and totally fine.

where the word “mad” come from ?
i didn’t read any word of text indicating the OP is mad.

don’t tell me you assume people lose game = mad ?
that makes it even worse.

feel annoyed ? that’s because i assume something out of you twice.
(and that last text makes it 3 times)

HS does not allow for decent decks, the format is just to simple.

Brrr-O!

This is what blizzard is targeting with their twitter reply.
Like last week this person you describe is why they wont balance wild. They want to hit that market the “2014 deck better work now untouched” (or any time of the past, 2015, 2016, etc). Its suuuuper bogus that response they twittered.

Like, your comment, is everyone’s thoughts including mine ofc. But not the dev who tweeted “we want to make sure those who leave have their old decks chillin ready to win” essentially said that.

It’s sooo wack.
“wilds super imbalanced it’s losing it’s flare”
“we want the old deck person to be happy!”
And it’s not a possible thing, to play a 2014, 2018 for that matter, deck and win often in wild, let alone 2 expansions ago sans a few decks.

Look at old big priest, pre palm reading its too slow.
They want some 2016 big priest dreamer to be like “i want my non palm reading deck to be good now!!” its like, get out of our game with that twitter reply.

Its soooo uncool blizz.
Just be real blizz and state the real reason why you don’t want to balance wild please And, be forthtelling that you know old decks can’t win. Don’t feed us that twitter reply that makes no logical sense…in sensitive times.

A solution to this is to have all the top-5 wild streamers stream old unedited decks now and show how bad they lose, send it to blizzard on twitter, and be like yo, you’re target market is someone who doesn’t want to win a game…this is why you won’t balance wild to cater to these decks? Untouched?
