I like the anti heal guy with Funnel Cake. I don’t know if these cards are enough to get Overheal Priest into a decent tier but the Kvaldir and Torrent are not terrible. The deck already has a decent late game since it can do the same Aman’Thul stuff Control Priest can do, just with a more aggressive overarching strategy.
The legendary looks really strong for Shadow Priest in board-based matchups. You get to push damage and gain value while fighting for the board.
Overall I like these cards. How good they end up just depends on how they affect Overheal Priest, and whether people are interested in playing Shadow Priest.
I modified the Plague/Frost version since frost gives the better cards over blood(Which admittedly sucks) Lets be honest though. If the Thaddius, Sargeras or Drum Circle decks high roll there’s very few if any decks that are going to beat them. Molten and Storm giant are just terrible cards to begin with. Not sure why anyone would play them.
You are correct in that Explosion would make the deck better but that’s just never going to happen. What they should have done is gave a frost card that triggers off the curses and sweeps the board or at least does a massive AoE. Either that or scrap the rune system now and fix DK.
So just play Warlock or Warrior. Just be prepared to face the same decks probably 50% of the time or more. Also it’s not a “bad” deck as i beat Warlock and Warrior decks with it all the time.
The effect could be used in some kind of combo like having multiple Prophet Velen type things in play or something, but it’s fine as a 1/3 undead.
4/5 Star Power. If Gift of the Naaru existed in Standard: 6/5 Star Power.
Twilight Torrent looks super de-powercreeped.
If the entire card pool de-powercreeps, the card could be actually good and healthy.
For now, it just dillutes the Discover pool. Super unplayable.
Would be way cooler as a double sided card that lets you target any character with either healing or damage.
-1/5 Star Power, for now
Soulburner Varia looks pointless.
Aggressive Shadow Priest decks don’t want to be generating useless Shadow Word: Ruin.
Control Priest doesn’t want to be messing around with this when it could be spending it’s Slots/Mana spamming game winning Dirty Rat dicerolls.
This looks like it fits most in the stupid Wild-Highlander-Renathal-Shadow Priest Decks.
1/5 Star Power. In the future, it could be forced with some Rattlegoresque, Reborn, Quest, or Portal stuff , but for now it looks like a pointless/bad strategy.
If they cared about how much control decks ruin games for others, both control Warrior and Warlock would get gutted. Control Warlock is in most ways superior to any control priest deck these days. And all these cards seem to be made for playstyles that don’t work in Standard or just plain only work in Wild. The heal/damage spell is the only one I see being remotely useful in Standard tbh.
Your bias is getting out of control. These cards have nothing to do with ‘greed priest’ so why are you complaining.
Shouldn’t you be happy that they don’t support the archetype you clearly loath or did you just want to voice your silly opinion regarding ‘greed priest’ again, which no one cares for.
This.
There are much “greedier” classes anyway. Druid and Rogue the king and queen of greed. Nobody out greeds them.
I view “greed” decks typically as control decks that tend to be high risk/high reward.
Have any of you even consulted me on greed builds? You should start. I play the original STEAL THE THINGS GREED ROGUE BEAST PRIEST WITH PRIEST OF THE FEAST in wild and you should see me go!
I really think he’s got some sort of inner anger mental problem. I’ve never seen someone as obsessed about one thing in my entire life. It can’t be healthy.
You are out of control because I said so.
Since you are not a person, I can assert that no one (who matters) cares that you expressed your opinion.
Maybe you should enlighten us on how you are the center of the universe.
