They really need to buff the Event Boss HP and Damage

I have like 2.5k Reso

and I completely low-difficulty these event bosses. It is shame that they made a lot of cool event bosses but none of them are memorable because they died too fast.

The team should double the event boss’s HP and their damage by 1.5x or 2x, or give the options for solo players to fight these bosses under the state of a 4-man party or higher for challenge.

The PVE content either swings too hard (HQ Gauntlet) or swings too easy (braindead event boss). There is no in-between or middle difficulty. Why?

Remember all the complaint threads about the story-line Diablo fight?

I sailed through that on my first attempt (I think it was Inferno 4 at the time) but lots of people found it impossible to beat and they actually found out that the encounter had a hard timer, i.e. if you didn’t finish it within (I think) 45 minutes, it kicked you out of the instance.

Blizzard probably learned from this that they want there to be a very small amount of absolutely mega-hard difficulty content (e.g. INF6 Gauntlet) and they want the rest to be easily completed by everyone else so they don’t miss out on event rewards.

If you want a challange with those bosses remove your legendary gems. Maybe even transfer your gear upgades to some placeholder junk legos so you don’t have that much reforge bonuses - just don’t accidentally extract those junks.
Anyway just as Meteorblade told the difficulty is tuned as so new players can also defeat the boss and that means players with strong builds will just faceroll it.

Well, at least Event Baal has 400 M+ HP in a 4-man party fight. :+1:

In the two times I fought him with a random group, I think it took under 10 seconds to kill him. I’ve had longer fights with him in Destruction’s End with the “Greed” or “Gauntlet” modifiers on.

So…i really have hard time to tell the Event Diablo and Challenge Diablo apart. Is it the same content?

This Diablo Event has a similar HP value ( 178M x 2) with the weekly Diablo Challenge mode in 4-man party, I think.

Well we know how they like reusing content …

Not quite the same. During the 2 immunity phases, the enemies spawn slower which in turn means, the sword charges also slower. So in consequence, you fight longer in the dark, which does some life leech I think. You also need only 2 charges of the sword instead of 3 to dispel Diablo‘s shield.

Still, nothing special about that fight. Do 2 in a group to get the tasks done and forget about it like with the other 3 of the event.

NOTE: There’s kind of a “Surge” portal that can appear (from what I’ve seen, randomly) and will take you to fight another boss. With my first character, after killing Diablo the first time, nothing happened, but after repeating for the second reward, the portal appeared, we used it and took us to Skarn, killed it, no more portals and when exiting, I had a reward to claim, appearing as a Task from 6/4 that wasn’t there before (or that I don’t remember seeing):

With my second character, again after the second Diablo round, the portal appeared, but this time, after the second and third bosses, the portal kept appearing, to take us to the next, so we killed all 4 bosses (as in what should seemingly be the “Event Gauntlet”).

Not sure why I got it completed after only 2 bosses with my first character and had to go through all 4 with the second… But it’s DI, from Blizzard/NetEase, so it doesn’t come as a surprise to find this kind of “weird behaviour”, actually.

UPDATE: Third character, killed Diablo, no portal. Killed it for the second time, no portal either. I had thought that maybe the “Gauntlet” would become available after having killed all 4 bosses at least once, but it doesn’t seem to be like that. BTW, the task that I mentioned as “hidden” is nowhere to be found in this 3rd character. Like I said… Not surprising that weird things keep happening in this game

UPDATE#2: After 4 tries, finally got the “hidden” reward. Started with Butcher, portal took us to Diablo, next to Skarn and… No more portals, but after exiting the reward was there to be claimed. So… 2 bosses, 4 bosses, 3 bosses. This “gauntlet” thing makes no sense

Ooh…
So, I decided to see if I could get this portal, and kept doing Skarn solo. On the 6th run…

Nice info. I don’t even know it was a thing there.

Thanks Meteorblade for confirming that it can be done solo.

Actually the patch notes do mention this gauntlet but very discreetly. It’s easy to miss.

During the event, a new boss may be challenged every few days, and towards the end of the event, you can take on these baddies back-to-back.
