Please don't merge Peace Warders with the whales

I echo my fellow friends’ posts here and would exhort the powers that be to consider not merging Peace Warders with a major whale cluster.

Our server is actually quite active by itself and players are happy here and we have a lovely community and competition without the usual toxicity of other servers.

Or maybe open a new server thereafter for those who wish to avoid mega clusters to migrate to.

Peace Warders is currently a server in which a new player can start dedicating their time and eventually resources with the concrete hope and chance of experiencing truly all aspects of the game.

Not only that, it has become a community centered on good natured fun and competition.

Merging this server with completely different player bases will not effectively benefit anyone. How much will the game be worth for current spending players when they will be able to experience only half of the end content?

The result will be quitting of the game or migrating to other servers, destroying a community who’s only fault was enjoying and supporting economically your game and finally leaving no real contribution to the new “merged server”.

I urge to rethink the criteria chosen for these merges.

im not from this server but i fully agree with what you guys said . The martyr etc got mega whales alliances . I was there and it’s unplayable for any other clan outta the 6 clans rotating immortal regins and it’s toxic on top of that .and after the server merge these clans will inject more high reso players to kill any 0.001% chance of mid to low reso clans to fight back . I highly doubt these forum post gets attention .try tickets or thru social media .hopefully u get a solution :+1:

This is exactly why Blizzard cannot win.

Not merging - go around crying that your server (and markets) is dead and underpopulated

Merging - go around crying that your server can’t compete with another server.

You talk about the server ‘The Martyr,’ but take a look at what’s happening in Crystal Arch, and this is just a small part of the whales there. Here’s a link to YouTube, watch it. That’s why I understand the author of this topic and the players from (Peace Warders). After the merger of these two servers, I can’t imagine what it will be like there.

News flash, they don’t care about anybody but the whales. The whole game revolves about stroking egos of people with more money than sense.

Hopefully PezRadar or a community manager will see this topic and leave our Solo server alone.

GRO here, Dark Clan Officer w/ considerable spend in DI. Recently transferred to Peace Warders to flee absolute whale domination and rotating Immortal alliances of whale clans (happened on Ysahri Sanctum / Trade Consortium before, our old server)

This server merge news pretty much kills the game for me to be honest. Merges happen when the player base is shrinking I assume. Business dictates that Blizzard/NetEase keep the biggest spenders happy. But what about the majority of players (F2P, low to medium spenders) that keep the game alive by being active for everyone?

So after speaking with many of my server friends from other clans who posted above (and YES we have a vibrant, friendly and balanced community on the server), I STRONGLY second all the points made as I am certain that this will “kill” our server and make most players want to quit the game.

Who are you trying to trick here? We all know that you guys have whales in your clan, so why would you say that you are “low resonance”. It’s just a bs excuse for the fact that your core team has swapped server three times, and dont wanna swap once more to dodge resistance. Remember this is a game, it’s meant to be played.

The highest in my clan isn’t even 4k and we was Immo last rotation. So you’re talking nonsense.

And you’re on Crystal Arch, or The Martyr servers?

My character name is Unrelth, I am also an officer at Dark Dawn and I think that merging will only kill the will for players to continue playing and I literally don’t understand who will benefit from it. I hope we will change your mind with our plea!

Update on ticket.

Community Managers only rarely reply to posts, they mostly just review and collect feedback to pass on to the Game Development team. Not responded to does not equate to ignored.

Yes you are a mainstay on Baal. While we aren’t a big server, there is a level of balance. The last merge confused almost everyone who came from other servers as well as those who were already on Baal. It settled and now they’re going to completely disrupt the balance again. It will settle but just like last time, I think with the influx of whales, within 6 weeks, a pile of people left never to return sadly. :frowning:

Theoretically, like the paragon system and CR, they could make servers by resonance and CR levels. Nah, that makes too much common sense.

My name is Stareater and I am in the Dark Dawn Clan. I am nearly 81 years old and I have played Blizzard’s (and other’s) games for very many years. I have to confess that I don’t fully understand the need for Server mergers, no doubt there is a financial reason somewhere, but I am with my Clan Leader Naggie, in believing that the current, merger, system cannot but detract from the pleasure of the game when modest players are pitted against “Behemoths” who only have to look at your character and it is dead, thereby eliminating any enjoyment of the encounter! Would it not be possible to arrange the servers in tiers of increasing game difficulty so that Clans of various abilities were catered for where a Clan could progress up,or down, in Server ranking depending on the Clan’s overall performance? This would have the benefit of keeping Clans of similar, overall abilities together whilst providing the incentive to progress?
I enjoy Diablo Immortal very much and the fellowship of my Clan. I spend a modest amount on the game monthly and I would hope to continue playing.

This is as I alluded to a method of bringing balance to the game. A large part of why there are not more people in battleground is because nobody wants to walk in and be dead before they instigate a single skill.

Your idea makes perfect sense and I am in my mid-60s and hear you. I know I was being sarcastic above in my post, but our shared logic of balance would definitely make the game better for everyone.

If whales only want to go in and smash people who did not spend in excess of $10,000, then that’s not a game nor is it competitive. It is a walkover.

The main issue would mean they would have to restructure every single server. That would be a massive task even though it makes the most sense to achieve balance. The interesting part is you would have people all over the world in the same server because of that balance which is also good. Unfortunately, I do not see them doing this in the short-term.

Well it seems that Blizzard doesn’t give a flying fak about the f2p and lowspending players, but more the whales and their deep pockets. Atleast we tried.

The whales gonna win this game and a lot of people are already leaving Diablo Immortal. Such a shame…

Baelor, the thing is they should care if they look at the numbers. If they lose the f2p, guppies, minnows and dolphins and are only left with the whales… Not only will there be an influx on ebay of accounts being illegitimately sold, they will need to triple the new sales items because there will only be whales left. While that seems enough, it is not. Apparently the whales only comprise of 30% of the entire game worldwide.

They will lose all the small to medium spenders who purchase Battlepass, Boon of Plenty and randomly other things every month. 10,000 purchaes at $100 per month - a lot of people beats far fewer who are almost completely levelled up and will not spend anything like that now they are levelled up.

They cannot afford to annoy and ignore the little guys too much because that’s their cashflow.
