Since D2 I had this issue with the Zakarum Church. Don’t get me wrong - I love this organisation and it has always been a vital part of Diablo lore. Zakarum is based on medieval Catholic church - more or less - both put trust in Angels, have priests and bishops, rely on crusaders/knight monks and so on. And anywhere you go, Zakarum takes esthetics from medieval Europe with gothic churches, priest robes and so on… everywhere but in it’s own centre.
So Travincal/Kurast/Nahantu was the seat of power for Zakarum, yet this is the only place, where Zakarum looks different and does not resamble the medieval church. Instead of gothic architecture we have Inka/Maya like pyramids, instead of priest robes we have prist with pre-Columbian like masks in D2.
I wonder if they will keep this inconsistency in The Vessel of Hatred and perhaps explain it somehow.
What do you guys think? Has it ever bothered you?
