So, I get logged out, then can’t log back in.
It’s saying:
“Your account is currently locked. Please wait a few minutes and try again. (Code 395002)”
Why?
Why is this even a thing? People pay, they want to play.
This wouldn’t be a thing if we didn’t always have to log onto a server.

Happened to me yesterday and today. $100 is not cheap…fix the game.
It’ll probably be worse once it fully launches. Why these game companies can’t figure this out is beyond me. Probably too cheap to buy sufficient servers.
You accoumt is locked because although you lost connection with the server your charachter is still logged in. Notice when you log out in game there is a countdown. I am guess when you loose connection it takes a couple minutes before the server realizes you are logged out.
There does seem to be an issue today though because i keep loosing connection. This is the first issues i have had since the early access launched.
Same here… twice now in the 2-3 hours. Then I start back like 45 minutes at least from where I was when it happened. Don’t get to play much as it is, so this BS is terrible.
A friend and I had this issue as well. We were nearing the end of a dungeon and we were both disconnected (we’re playing from different parts of the U.S.). We received the account locked message for several minutes before we were allowed back into the game. When we finally loaded back into the game-world we were back at town and had lost all our progress in the dungeon.
Pretty frustrating. This and queues are some of the bigger reasons I dislike the fact that this game is online-only.

If I had to take a guess, that error is because you suddenly disconnected and the game server has not completely logged you out yet.
Waiting a few mins for the server to catch up should work and you will be able to log back in.
For me on Xbox I don’t log out. In the “Game Start Screen” where you choose your character, go to
game->options
Change any settings → save
Revert change → save
choose your character and play
But in the end you still lose progress
If you play WoW this appears to be the same as the “A character with that name already exists” error you get when you are abruptly disconnected. Fortunately, it appears to have the same fix; just log onto another character, after you log back out the first one will be working again. When this happened to my druid last night I was able to fix it by logging onto my rogue for a moment then switching back to the druid.
Oh yea i love being disconnected on a hardcore character. And realizing its not fully out of the game yet.
I’m sure there’s been plenty of people who have suffered this fate.
This has been happening over and over and over… for weeks, many times a day. Nothing will fix it. I know players that are just abandoning the game. Diablo 2 and 3 were great. Why is Diablo 4 having so many problems?
This garbage is still happening, by the way. I feel like F2P games have better networking than D4 as it is.
Hell I’ve bought the game 7 times and now have a locked account. I buy the game play for a day then lose access to it on the launcher but my account show I have access to it. Basically forcing me to buy it again because they reverse my CC charges. Thought it was my CC company but they state its Blizz reversing my purchases. Here is how many times I’ve bought the game to end up losing access to it again and again then to finally end up with a locked account and no access to the freaking game.
