You promised rare but high-quality loot

99% of the loot is trash, and the 1% that isn’t is stuck at 750 item level. Where’s the actual quality?

The last time they said quality over quantity it didn’t happen. I didn’t expect it would this time either. Any credibility they may have had is gone.

Any of the developers who actually care about their job are probably on heavy amounts of anti-anxiety meds if they visit these forums. This assumes, of course, they are being held back by the board members and not simply incompetent.

This is nothing more than Blizzard’s opinion of quality and each individual players definition of quality…

But we cannot even get on the same page with garbage affixes being the most prominent drops; life, life per 5 seconds, some single resist, max life.

Game design is an issue here. Really you are limited in skill points and can at most dedicate 5 points to any given skill. Yet, the build doesn’t become viable until you have a skill that is 20+/5…

IMO

  1. complete itemization overhaul, i like the thought of aspects and few other things but for some reason im not excited for any drops
  2. much much more creative seasonal mechanics
  3. Endgame progression system
    This is what we need imo, at least what i think i need in order to have a good time in this game and no life it.

So far I got a starfell coronet and … …ohh I forgot those pants… Ice … some kind of Ice pants, … All on Hard mode.

They also said that legendary items would only drop above level 25. At level 11 I was full orange.
They are totally incompetent, at last it used to be playable before this season.

lol what promise? they didn’t improve the loot in any way. no new affixes, no new useful aspects, no new nothing. it’s literally the same stuff made worse, far lower drop rates.

High quality loot is quite rare…

Some players are duping gold. Others are buying it and gearing up for real money. Fascinating process. That’s why there’s no decent loot? Who benefits from this?

They haven’t fixed anything, loot-wise. The garbage Mythics are still garbage, GA affixes above one drop next to never.

This system what Blizz introduced in D 4 is called : Dopamine Loot.

My ancestrals are quite good this season, more 3GAs in a few days than in the totality of most seasons. I was in full ancestral 15 minutes into T1. Still no useful uniques though, not even non-ancestral or even low ilvl ones during leveling.

Decent loot with one star is extremely rare. In Season 7, I played for a month; in Season 8, I quit after two days. I got the +2 minions aspect only at Paragon 100.

I think part of the problem is they allow skills to get that high :stuck_out_tongue:

And then they balance the environment to the outliers or bugged stuff, at the upper end, which frustrates everyone.

And then they don’t bother testing any of it.

I don’t want to play something broken…because it feels cheap…but at the same time if you leave me no option to progress other than playing something broken…what are players supposed to do?

Blizzard needs to basically fix the problem and cap skills/passives then adjust damage and monster health accordingly. Playing the game they are currently will eventually create major power creep or drive everyone away.

Rare means literally rare i. e. yellow.
