anyone seeing the same problem i am seeing?
if u want to get to highest pit, you need RMT because best items are selling for 100 billions, no normal players or any kind of grinding get you this. this problem is equal to pay to win.
if no BIS gears you still complete all the contents but nothing else to do beside grinding nonsense and not guarantee to get BIS items.
dev need to balance things out so players who grinds the game for sure get BIS gears. players who like to RMT shouldn’t be able to buy BIS gears. make it a fair gaming environment

With trade comes:
- Spam bots
- Credit card warriors
- Moar bots
You can compete but you need to play trade sim if your not going to RMT. It requires a lot of time but just because someone RMT doesnt mean they have the skill to not stand in fire.
If you are looking to buy an item with legit gold you need to participate in selling items for gold.
If someone plays 12 hours a day they should be farther then someone who plays 2 hours a day.
At the end of the day this is an arpg which has rng. Nothing should be guaranteed no matter how long you play.

The elephant in the room currently is not-BoA items, the trading system & the general feeling that gold is scarce for the needs of certain players.
Hopefully those will be tweaked at some point, otherwise, RMT will reign supreme for the rest of the game duration.

Trading has turned game into a trade sim if you want to be the best. Exactly what we feared happened in S4 and then some.

All I hear is wahhh wahhh wahhh I dont like how you play in a single player game, I demand you play my way. But ohh yeah d3 doesnt have bots.
Go play your way and stop worrying about others. Really, try it, its amazingly peaceful to go just enjoy a game. Just mute the trade channel and you can play without worrying about others

In your wonderland adventures, you might have come across strange people with fugly skins, we call those “Players”, hence the importance of calling Diablo 4 a Online game.
Cheating your way into most online games is frowned upon, a player should never have to pay for more than the base game and some additional cosmetics to compete.
Cutting the only open chat, since we do not have any community chat and most clans are dead. Not great !
May as well implement official cheats & trainers, I guess ?
There might not be a real sense of competition other than gear bragging, pit pushing & PvP(yes, it does exist, get over it), but still, it is not a single player game and no one should have the option to buy themselves some of the best gear right from their pocket.

how exactly do you compete? Higher pit tiers dont provide better rewards and neither are there leaderboards.

Ultimately you’re complaining about nothing.
There is no pit leardboard, play until you’re bored or reached the highest you can. You’ll find upgrades, just not necessarily very often.
The only time “competing” comes in to it is the weekly leaderboard, which to my knowledge has been a HUGE failure. Basically nobody plays that except for the sweatiest or RMTers, and they can have it. It’s not interesting or rewarding in any meaningful way.
So just play the game.
i kinda liked the gauntlets, but it loses its appeal once you got all the cosmetics, id kinda wish there were some more rotating rewards for this leaderboard.
due to the difficulty level of the gauntlet, theres also no rmt needed.

Let people waste their money season after season till they get banned.
A fool and his money are easily parted.
And for what? Nothing since they know they cheated thier way there and as such, accomplished nothing.
That is part of the problem. The fact that we don’t have meaningful competition or reward for reaching higher power in endgame. Blizzard already made it clear they aren’t focusing on PvP. No leaderboard or higher reward for pushing Pit. Once you get geared enough to clear pinnacle and you’re pretty much done with the season, which is already very easy to complete.

well, i wouldnt say its a problem like some people label it. now, dont get me wrong, more stuff to do would be cool, but in the end, every game reaches a point where you just blast through.
At one point, stuff just boils down to bragging rights, like the highest tier levels.
Tell me honestly. How does it affect you if I told you I bought gear (Im not, and I have trade muted)?? How?? How is your game ruined? Is your day ruined? Your life ruined? Nope, nothing at all but your feelz. Do you really think you would be on the LBs if everything was bound like d3? Just go play and stop worrying about everyone else. Try it, you might like it

You just keep throwing the blind-eye card over and over again, like most deniers or perhaps… RMT user themselves.
I really can’t understand defending a system based on Bot’ing, massive inflation, shady 3rd party grouping or trading. I truly can’t understand how you could just decide to ignore that part of D4.
By turning a blind eye, you’re basically agree’ing with the system.
Don’t worry about me, I’m still playing, rocking it until I hit the boredom barrier.

Competition is the same as someone buying a seat at a poker tournement in hopes of leaving with more cash than the entrance fee. Competition does not mean one winner and everyone else is 2nd or lower
open challenge to anyone that can clear a tormented boss on a non meme spec undergeared character
I know it’s technically possible, but I’ve yet to find evidence of anyone doing it.
That just goes to show the skill level of D4 players. It’s technically possible. No one has the skills to accomplish it.
Why you want to compete with top players? Thats the reason Blizzard dont release leaderboard for PIT just to save your money 
No one can breach the T200 PIT unless with bug, so what other so call top players just get higher PIT level for no significant reward and nothing to show for.
