Started having this problem yesterday after playing the game earlier in the day. Submitted a ticket and the response provided a link to forums which suggested uninstall/re-install of Battle.net. No luck. Play button is still non-responsive and hovering over it gives the same “you can’t play Diablo IV yet” message. I then responded to the ticket that I still had a problem. The response said to submit a bug report, so here it is. As an aside, this strikes me as very poor customer service. Makes me feel like I’m running around in circles…
Change your battle net password.
It help me
Wow, such a simple fix! Thank you so much.
Did this work for you? I also tried reninstalling bnet and it didnt help
I have the same problem and it didn’t work for me! Waiting for Blizzard to solve it
Same here, i removed D-IV (as mentioned as an option in an other topic, but now i can’t install it because yhe Battle.net doesn’t “know” i have bought it… ??
Did you try to uninstall Battle.net with these clean-up things:
- Navigate to
C:\ProgramData
and delete theBlizzard Entertainment
folder, - Go to
C:\Program Files (x86)
and delete theBattle.net
folder. If installed on other Disk or path, go to it. - Delete the
Battle.net
folder inC:\Users\*USER*\AppData\Local
andC:\Users\*USER*\AppData\Roaming
. - Restart your computer and download the latest Battle.net client from the official website
- Go to your account options, change password.
- Close and restart Battle.net, D4 “Play” button should be available.
I would suggest to start Battle.net as Administrator and uncheck box in upper left corner, parameters, “Start Battle net with windows” and choose “Quit battle.net on X (Close)…”
Wow that worked for me. Thank you
