You can just not level to 100 if you don't want to

The grind is there, but it’s not necessary. You are free to stop anytime you get bored.

You aren’t missing any content.

Uber Lilith is just a boss fight for those that want to grind. It’s nothing you have to have to play D4.

You don’t need to 100% every game you play and expect it to change for you when you don’t want to grind for it.

except theres content at level 100 like the pinnacle boss.

he literally just mentioned the pinnacle boss.

I would nuance this statement a bit.
There are multiple achievements in the game that requires you to be 100. (get all classes to 100, get a hardcore character to 100, beat Lilith, beat Lilith in hardcore)
So obviously people will aim for those goals that have deliberately been added by the devs.
But what is really not needed is to chase for 100 in the first month after launch. You have decades to do it. The nightmare dungeon EXP boost is not even in yet.
Instead of grinding I would just wait for at least this patch if you are bored. Respect your own time a bit.

People that think they have to get all achievements in order to enjoy the game are the worst, and not truly gamers.

Not wrong. But they exist, so…

if you complain about leveling to 100 there is no chance in hell you are gonna beat pinnacle lilith

It’s the MMO mentality of “the game begins at level cap” and “gotta reach level cap ASAP so I can actually have fun”. Makes sense given the way MMOs are designed but not ARPGs.

This rings true to me, but D3 was that way too.

So basically: don’t bother playing the game.

My hardcore rogue had 90 hours played at level 70

I watched someone’s experience fighting the pinnacle boss and like yeah…so 95% of players that are complaining about leveling are definitely not going to beat her. I don’t really have much of an interest in attempting it.

I have played many leagues of PoE and never once got to 100. I think 95 or 96 was my closest?
We’ll see how the season mechanic goes but most likely once I finish the battlepass or season journey or whatever I will likely move over to an alt.

Yea once I reach 90 in poe the character feels complete to me

the issue to me is you stop getting gear upgrades around lvl 75 gear upgrades should be tied to your level. ironically levelling after 75 becomes super tedious as well. its like why even continue?

If you’re having fun with your build I would.

PvP maybe? Haven’t tried it yet myself.

I probably won’t hit 100 before season 1 starts, but I’ll finish the renown grind.

Apparently in 8 days, you can hit 100.

100% elixir uptime, Nightmare dungeons and within 8 days that includes story quests and some exploration.

I can also ‘not’ eat the entire cheesecake I just brought… it fact I know I’ll get sick half way though… but I will still finish it.

Listen to your body.

that’s some real arbitrary gatekeeping lol
What if I said people who don’t want to get 100% aren’t real gamers?
Be pretty silly, wouldn’t it?
