as long as they are 1 of the 4 or 5 people (max 11 that are in the same instance of the same zone as you are.
if they are not you now have to add them to f list to invite them to group.
im not sure what i would be more dissappointed in, finding out this was unintentional oversight or intentionally implemented

yes. i would 100% be fine with that.
making group finding MORE DIFFICULT to cut down spam is dumb.

oh, i found 3 people on discord that wanted to group and dungeon grind but none of us wanted to deal with bnet battletags and adding strangers to f list and stuff, so we ended up just not playing.

Fwiw, there’s 2 levels of ‘friend’ in your friends list. You have real friends who can see your real name, etc., and then you can friend anyone else and they won’t.
again, if the solution mildly inconveniences anyone, its a bad solution. you shouldnt take AWAY features based on a tiny subset of the population. its dumb.

adding someone to f list, then inviting to party, then removing from f list, is ridiculously convoluted.
Didnt you want to make the game more challenging and difficult? This is Blizz way of doing that. Considering it a way of making it a slower leveling experience like you wanted. Now you can flex your epeen when you hit lvl 100 and claim you are the top 0.01%
im never gonna hit 100. ever. even with this stupid easy way to get to 100. i played d2 for like 10 years and i never got past level 94, i dont see myself ever being part of the 100 club.
anyway, yes, making the game less fun definitely makes leveling more difficult i will give you that one. you are technically correct. which is the best type of correct.

i learned my lesson after playing sorc non season. bone spear necro and rogue are the only classes ill even remotely attempt, but this game is mind numbingly boring without groups and trading.
