Why can’t the download be staggered for users over a couple of days? Why can’t the patch cdn be scaled appropriately?

I checked for it last night. Why is it less than an hour before the Season starts? WTF? I’m at 0% still.
they should just delete blizz launcher,move it all to steam and be done with it…this and epic launcher are trash that not even garbage men would want to pick up…

Why the rush? Personally, I’m going to have launch, then a nap. Later I shall decide which class I pick, character creation takes a while (Picking the name is not an easy task) and then yes, play. You’ll eat up the entire season in a few days so, what’s the hurry?

Looks like they can’t fix bnet launcher for whatever reason. Try to enable download limit (put high number in it).
I think it’s cost cutting measures they’ll never admit to. They don’t do pre-release downloads to save people time on patch day like WoW or Overwatch or any other Blizzard game. Not sure how that saves them any money but I’m not sure what other reason they could have for not doing an obviously pro-player thing they do in every other game.
Then their launcher is basically like a torrent client on big patch days. You are not just downloading the patch while downloading it, you are also using your upstream bandwidth to help other people download it in chunks. I think when it goes down to low download speeds, that’s intentional on Blizzard’s end because they want your download to take longer so you continue to help them upload it to other people at the same time.
I think/hope they calculate based on your max download speeds they see so you will finish it in-time if possible and don’t throttle you so much that you won’t finish in time. Mine is almost done, but it would go from like 10MB/s to barely a trickle for certain periods.
Yeah this whole launcher mess we’re having on pc is awful. I wonder when Microsoft will have enough of this and will just go Android way to forbid installing apps outside of Microsoft Store. That would force every company to put games in one place.

We already have it all planned out.
This helped me. I went from 100kb to 100kb to 80mbs. It’s all over the place, but I think I’ll have the patch by the time the season starts. I wish they did this last night. I checked for it and nothing. Why an hour before it starts???

barb went from 27k life to 45k life. lol.

mine started around 25m down ended at 5m down. Wasnt too long to update

It’s Blizz. This thing is bugged. I fixed it, but the download speed is all over the place, but it should d/l in time.
yes I have to say that it’s amazing to wait for idk how many hours to download 6 gb content with speed of 4 - 45 kb/s …
