Why are more SPiritborn running Yen;s over Rakanoth? I dont understand the primary reasoning considering your losing that non physical damage.

gaining the cooldown though. I’m looking to run Ren’s from my Rankanoth. I want the GA on the resistances though as i have on my Rakanonth
Yens cooldown ability, resource generation if build requires it, All Stat boosts sveral things minorly, etc.
Additive NonPhysical damage is minor and not why you should go for Rakanoth. Rakanoth is for the cdr and all res.
When I stated with my Touch of Death SB, I ran with a good GA Rakanoth. But towards the endgame, specially pushing higher Pit levels, the extra cooldown in Rakanoth is pretty much a waste when you have Prodigy’s tempo.
The resource gen in Yen is more useful as soon as I dropped Midnight.
I guess it builds down whether you need the CDR or Resource gen.
I don’t find the unique powers to be build defining on both boots.

Neither Rob’s build nor Sanctums build on mobalytics use yens. However it is mentions to meet certain needs like masterworks high all resist or cooldowns
The easy answer is, you need a certain amount of Resource regen to fill your Vigor bar and Yen’s makes that easier. If you have the minimum vigor regen required and fill your bar every hit and you have enough resist all, then Yen’s might not be the best option, Rak can be used if you just need the resist.
Is there an aspect you’d put on boots that would provide an advantage over Yen’s?
Duelists if you don’t already have it, or if you do, you can swap out another offensive aspect.
