Yellow items does not become useless at s4

The topic was named “Frostylaroo is right”. And it talked about the senseless of nerfing yellow items, decreasing it’s affix to 2, what become them useless. Instead of just adding a loot filter, what’s would be the best thing to do. But… After reading some good opinions here, i have decided that yellow items in s4 update are gonna be ok, with a useful timeline until you begin using only legendaries. So, i must remake my opinion: Frostylaroo isn’t right. Devs are doing ok

Blizzard has just erased my topic

They are definitely paying closer attention to the forum right now, not sure why. I have had a couple of posts removed. Not really a big deal. We are all living in Blizzard’s world. Accept it or get out.

you might want to pay attention to the forum rules. Considering this thread alone breaks a rule, i wouldnt be suprised if your last one did as well.

My alter tittle was that: Frostylaroo is right. And it hadn’t nothing out of manners, nor trying to harass anyone. Just exposing the issue with the yellow items at season 4 updates

well, i wouldnt know. For all i know is that your thread intro, as well as this post breaks the coc

Not senseless, needed.

Not useless. I would challenge you to post a picture of the lowest level your character is no longer using 2-affix rare items and only 3-affix Legendaries. I bet it’s far higher now rather than about lv 65.

Players can’t have it both ways; complain about “finishing their build” at 65 and not finding upgrades, then also complain that items now have a longer use case.

You can still do this. In fact, it’s far easier to do with Codex changes.

PS - you also missed the part where Affixes have nearly doubled in power. Combined with the new crafting systems, all players will have far more power than they do now.

It’s probably that youtuber. If you’re getting triggered by that clown as Blizzard you should reevaluate.

Not supposed to call out anyone in the forums, especially in the titles. Even if it’s harmless, it’s one of their Code of Conduct rules. It can incite toxic behavior amongst the community depending on the context as well. I.E. people don’t agree with said person being called out now you have two sides fighting each other in the post.

If your title was more along the lines of “Different perspective going around” it may have made a pass depending on what was actually in the post. I didn’t personally see it, so can’t say one way or the other.

There’s an emoji for that,

Again going off of the rules by Blizzard, you can believe what you want.

…That’s a little better.

i don’t know if yellows will be useless, why you say that? they reduce affixes or what?

But if the yellow items begins with 2 affix, and legendaries with 3, no point in turning yellows to legendaries, cause the max suffixes you can craft are 2, right? So the originally legendaries always will have one more suffix

My only concern with regards to rare items…is about gold. A lot of the items that drop are useless…but I still sell them. So I’m wondering how it will effect the overall gold amount with less drops.

…and? You will absolutely be using rares longer. “Rares” meaning 2-affix items. The drop rates for Legendaries have been decreased. Not only are y9u seeking a Legendary of an appropriate slot, but you’ll also need 3 beneficial/highly rolled affixes over 2 more easily acquired.

Your thesis that “rares won’t be used” is simply false. The only thing you can do at this point is wait 24 hours for PTR. But from the previews, patch notes, and campfire chat, rares will have a longer tail of usefulness. They will no longer be “the best” at end-game, which is also fine.

I understand now, thanks. Painfully i cannot play the ptr, cause i am lack of time. But thanks for the explanation

How is no one thinking about the max potential with yellows? You can master work an affix with a 50% chance 12.5 percent chance that one affix becomes godly compared to the 3 percent chance of all the major upgrades hitting one affix. Although you are missing 1 affix it still be a great placeholder until for a long time.
