Yea im with everyone else here. The bosses ARE way to overtuned. it just isnt engaging or fun

Yea after grinding a fairly decent amount of pits and realizing i get stronger and stronger but yea… not against the pit boss. the pit boss will forever out scale me one shot me and be completely poorly designed. whats the point of grinding when i cant ever efficiently clear the boss? look the game is in a great state but this needs to be fixed.

Do a lower level that you can actually complete.

no im gonna complain about a poor design so they can fix it and make it correct

Not saying you’re wrong to complain. But if you can’t kill the end boss you’re essentially wasting your time and setting yourself back. In most cases in Diablo games when working to get stronger pushing isn’t the way. The best way is to complete the level you can do the fastest with no deaths. But good luck.

seems like a skill issue

look im aware of that ive played over 1000 hours in the game. my issue is that there is no consistency . sure you can clear a certain tier but then what happens if you get the broken rougue boss? ope possibly lose your sigil and time spent. and look this is after doing like 100+ pit runs

Doing lower levels isn’t always the answer. Some pit bosses 1 shot me with continuous unavoidable damage then I do a higher level and complete it with ease. A higher level should always be harder. But it is not. Some tuning amongst the bosses and the random shadow boss procs functionality is needed to make this game better. You can learn the mechanics of some 1 shots and how to dodge them other times they are unavoidable which is nonsense.

This game involves 0 skill and all gear checks.

this guy gets it. its the randomness it makes no sense. and it becomes unfun after so many pit run.

Sounds like a brain issue with such a mouthbreathing comment such as that

One shots are garbage game design and really show blizzards incompetence. Damage should not scale exponentially to the point everything can eventually one shot you. Health, armour and mob density should be the only thing that increases, damage should stay the same or be capped to 90% of a players max health, most of the garbo one shots in this game are so poorly telegraphed you cant even see them till your poof dead.

We arent all some ADHD 12 year old hyped up on 12 cups of coffee anymore blizzard, make this stuff easier to see for crying out loud!

LOL skills…

In what ? how to click 5 buttons ? If you want a skill check you playing the wrong genre. Tell me something, have you ever seen Arpg in any kind of esport anywhere? anytime ?

You are right and wrong IMO

Right in that the PIT bosses could use some fine tuning and wrong in that at some point in the PIT you will just die…the point of the PIT is to provide a finite yet near impossible challenge.

My view would be that once you get past level 100 in the PIT, its game on and expect for it to be brutal and once you reach 150 you are literally pushing the limits of BiS gear and player skill. At some point stuff will just one shot you if you don’t have the right gear, however, there needs to be clear difficulty progression leading to those moments - that’s where some work is needed.

From my perspective I am under zero illusions that I will not be getting to the higher pit tiers but I like that the challenge exists for others to push the limits. Maybe it will be something I gradually improve in the Eternal Realm…

To my understanding doesn’t Masterworking end at the 60th pit level? Not sure myself only 70 haven’t had a chance to try it yet. If it does end that early then why does anyone care to go past it? Because if all your gear is maxxed then the pit levels above are supposed to be obnoxiously hard. It’s basically just for bragging rights seems to me. Once I max my masterworking my butt is starting a new class personally lol. Once the gear and upgrades stop flowing I don’t see the point for pushing to 200.

you dont lose a sigil in pits. only runeshards, which youll have plenty now i assume.

also, why exactly is the rogue boss broken?

well said i also agree and i do love pits as an idea.

unfortunately, this is a work around, not an argument to support the bad design.

also, plz consider the dynamic it creates here. when ur build can’t kill those bs bosses faster than they one-shot u, and u r forced to grind on lower tiers, we’ll be spending extra time as penalty for not using meta. it’s not hard to imagine people will shift towards these builds. if diversity is to be promoted, this certainly hampers it.

also, it’s not like the bosses (not the echos) don’t deal increasing damage when tiers get higher. they alone have some powerful attacks as well.

imo, when people said the pit was easy in ptr, they meant their hp was not high enough to sustain a fight.

i’d be surprised if they actually meant the boss one-shot echos were easy.

I agree, bosses encounters in the 50+ pit become some dance dance party game. It reminds me of Heigan in Naxxramas, you have to keep dancing all the time or 1 shot and bye bye.

Listen, I like difficult content, but this just feels unfair. I really enjoy the new tormented bosses, but the pit bosses are broken. If you get a minor lag, rubberbanding or anything - you die instantly. Also, the bosses outscale the trash mobs too much. It needs balancing.
