Y'all weren't lying about the camera zoom!

Just another post on this so maybe blizzard reconsiders it. I really like the tone of Diablo 4’s world but wow the camera… it’s not just weird, it’s actually sort of immersion breaking. Entering the first hub area feels like such a let down because we’re not really able to even see the architecture or scale of everything. The camera just feels uncomfortably close, I want to see the world I’m exploring.

The atmosphere and combat feel great but with all the mixed feedback and some really strange choices on presentation/UI, I think Diablo 4 deserves more time in the oven. There’s potential for a great game here but there are foundational, moment to moment gameplay issues to address first. Makes me wonder if release will be pushed back another 6 months or so.

Love to the devs for all their hard work! It must be difficult to see the forums explode with harsh words. Hope you all aren’t in a crazy state of crunch. And I hope management is treating you well.

Yeah, it does feel close at times and in town I feel they could go the other direction and allow you to see more. Would be nice to see what zoomed out a smidge feels like in the open world and dungeons. Something I like about the current camera distance is not seeing monsters super early allowing them to somewhat sneak up on you or you don’t get to see what a whole pack entails right away.

There are also those viewing spots that show the world from a over-shoulder perspective. They should use those more often.

They got to make sure you see those cosmetics so you buy them. I’d run while you can.

Huh? That sounds pretty neat, where are those? Are they marked on the map?
