My husband and I own both an Xbox and a PC. We would love to each be able to cross-progress on both platforms. Does this mean we will need to buy 4 copies of the game in total (2 for each battlenet account - one PC and one Xbox)? Or can we buy one PC copy and link it to one battlenet account and then buy another Xbox copy and link it to the other battlenet account and then access the alternate game version when using the opposing modality since each battlenet account will be linked to a game copy already?
I’m also trying to work out a similar situation too.
My partner has an Xbox and she purchased the Ultimate edition. I purchased the Ultimate edition on PC. Now we were thinking of playing couch co-op but there’s no detailed information whether I need to buy the Xbox game pass, or if I need another copy of Diablo on console. My battle net account is linked to my xbox account already (used to own an Xbox but only use Xbox app for Windows now).
Some clarification would be much appreciated.
I did a bit more googling and came across this video on Youtube that answers both our questions, if his information is accurate. Hope it helped you.
