Xbox - Sharing Xbox live with two accounts on two xboxes not possible?

In my house we have two Xbox consoles (Lets call them Xbox-1 and Xbox-2).

I have an active “Xbox Gold Live Subscription” and have my Xbox account on both Xboxes and its me who has bought Diablo 4.

Xbox-1 is set as “home xbox”.

When my wife (who does not have a “Xbox Gold Live Subscription” signs on to Xbox-1 to play Diablo 4, the multiplayer options (like “Invite player to group”) is not available to her.

When I log on to Xbox-1 (and Xbox-2) I have the mulltiplayer options available.

Shouldnt my wife be able to access them as well on Xbox-1 since its set as a “home xbox”? Or does the game actually require that each player have “Xbox Live Gold” and overrides the “home xbox” sharing of Xbox Live Gold?

Usually it should work like you have set it up.
I have noticed cases, where game content is tied to the account with the purchase, but the online subscription should work anyway.
Did you maybe accidently have your home console enabled to another device, or can you confirm it is active on xbox-1 right now?

This maybe happening because of the “crossplay” settings in Diablo4. When you log in, go to Social and tab over, make sure you both have the same options selected.
