Wanted to see how the game plays on my Series X, went to the store to check for the beta, clicked on the open beta page and it won’t let me download

Same here. Can’t even download it.
I installed it Friday via Xbox app. Tonight it says it can’t be opened because I don’t own it, Error 0x803F8001.
Then there’s the cluster that this site says the 26th and 27th as the ending in multiple different places.
Today march 26 is the last day to play. Im sure they had to stop people downloading at some point.
Yeah now its gone from the store entirely, oh well. Guess I should have downloaded it sooner if I wanted to try it out on my SX.
