Just read an article stating that Xbox game pass is creating a new tier for d4 and a few other games lol.
Does it include the expansion?

Well maybe they will do what netflix did. Cancel all plans promoting a cheap ad watching package with jacked up ad free plans. Just capitalism at its finest.

Sadly, I pay for ad-free. The entire point of streaming (imo) is to be able to watch what I want, when I want, and uninterrupted.
After getting streaming and then watching regular tv (or even cable), streaming feels so zen. Just sit back, relax, and get immersed in whatever world being shown.
They’re probably trying to claw some more $ in to offset the costs of owning Blizzard and putting up with their bad decision making skills lol.
blizzard has made them immense amounts of money. you must be living in a parallel dimension with alternative facts
I just moved on and refuse to give netflix money. Its such a bad practice to cancel someones plant to force them to pay more for the same service.
All these pub traded companies just end up screwing over there customers/employees to get everyone more dividends.

I wouldn’t go that far. Blizzard was a good long term investment that they appeared to have overpaid a bit for. Which is why we’re seeing another round of layoffs at ABK. MS is trying to get revenue in line with their expectations and appease investors who were skeptical about the purchase.

wild. not worth it at all. they don’t even have old diablo games on games pass.

D4 isn’t the main cause of this, it’s simply an also-ran. Upcoming shortly, you have to get Ultimate tier for large scale games (especially online ones) including Starfield, Call of Duty, Hellblade, Persona 3 Reload, etc.

Diablo 4 price is the same. If you want to play Diablo 4 on gamepass on consoles, then yes, you need to be on the highest tier of gamepass.
PC gamepass and owning the game has no price impacts afaik.
I have a special grandfathered plan at $7.99/month (paid yearly) that’s ad-free. I can’t download to other devices for offline viewing. It’s locked in, and can’t change unless I change it.
They call me every year just prior to renewal trying to offer me a new “upgraded” plan, but I refuse. I get HD with it, but not 4k (that’s the new one they offer). I’ll be paying $7.99/month until I die or Netflix goes out of business. And even if I die - they’ll have to prove it as I’ll yield control over it to my children.

Im somewhat jelly. Tho i work in a new industral complex that lacks infrastructure. So streaming is painful because its like the old days with dialup buffering.

Yeah, it great now, but when everyone was upgrading their plans to HD/4k, and offline downloads I didn’t and it really wasn’t so great. Fast forward about 3-4 years and now it’s awesome!
The only reason I have HD (1080) on it is because nothing these days films at lower. I think when everything jumps to 4k, Netflix will be forced to give me that also. 
I have a theory that all you need to end the world is: 1 adman and 1 lawyer.
Interesting. I only use the PC game pass myself. Looking forward to Frostpunk 2 in a week. I also beat the Kunitsu-gami: Path of the Goddess on stream a few weeks back.
Highly recommend the game pass for PC users, sounds like console players may be getting screwed though, sorta.

I have to top tier woth game pass ultimate, but I also take advantage of all kinds of Microsoft rewards and get enough points monthly to basically get it for free.
Only garbage thing is using Bing to do a bunch of dumb stuff, but you get 210 points daily for searches plus other monthly bonuses you get around 7500 from there alone. Xbox daily login is another 450 for the month. Play one Gamepass daily is another 150. Gamepass bonus for the week is another 275 x 4 weeks (1100) plus other weekly and mo the console bonuses net you around 2500ish points. That’s close to 12,000 points for the month with a cost of 11,000 to renew ultimate.
All that equals free Gamepass!

yea using the pass as well. Sometimes there is a month where no title interests me, but in general the pass really pays off for me, especially during times where im bored of my main games.
soon i wanted to try palworld again as there have been quite some updates ive read
oh, i also got to try quite some titles i wouldnt have bought personally, which then entertained me quite nicely.
