If your Xbox controller is not working properly on PC then please close out Steam Client completely.
Yester day I installed and played DIV perfectly fine. I usually close all other programs when I do an install as is good practice, so I did. Today I hade to restart my PC after an update and when I started DIV I could not get my controller to work properly. It was doing weird things like when I hit A to pick up an item it would open a chat box. When I would try to open my map it wouldn’t work or had a long delay. In menu under controller it showed no buttons mapped. The only thing I could find were older posts that said to enable extended Xbox controller support in Steam but this did not work. Of course being a troubleshooter I back tracked to what I did yesterday. As soon I closed Steam my Xbox controller started working 100% perfectly again. I may not be able to tell you why other than the two are conflicting over who has power of the controller but I can give you an easy work around. Its not like your playing DIV on Steam so just close it out.

A will randomly open chat window, joystick will randomly open onscreen keyboard. Extemely annoying and potentially fatal in game.
having this issue as well - i did not purchase through steam i purchased through the blizzard app directly so closing steam isnt an option (closing the blizard launcher doesnt seem to do anything either)
Really frustrated by this since it would be sooo much better with my xbox pro controller.
i just started having this same problem, im using battlenet with xbox controller connected through bluetooth and wired, its working fine with other games i dont know whats wrong
