Anyone else tried this combo? After hours at the training dummy, this works best for procs from X’Fals compared to poison puncture and poison pools unexpectedly!
I always evading anyway due to stun grenades when evade and break stealth, so I also have shadow imbue for constant break stealth when evading.grenades and Posion procs constant!
Toxic alchemist doesn’t proc X’fal’s but bursting venoms does, a lot.
I’ve tested bursting venoms as well and it seems Toxic Alchemist Posion novas inflict DoT and it procs X’Fals more consistently. Probably due to shadow imbued blade masters inflicting shadow imbued damage to poisoned enemies a lot, so more individual sources of DoT (75% chance) leads to more procs.
Each poisoned enemy hit by any shadow imbued ability has a 75% chance to infect themselves and others with a DoT, and this happens multiple times.
Toxic alchemist novas are visually small and do little damage, easy to tell apart from X’Fals
I tested toxic alchemist, Andy’s poison nova, bursting venoms and poison imbuement (on its own) and found that toxic alchemist and Andy’s nova never proc’ed X’fals at all. This was before the current patch however but it’s understood that DoT effects from aspects, with the exception to bursting venoms, has no lucky hit chance to proc X’fals (since X’fals needs a DoT effect that has a lucky hit chance).
The poison nova is a 75% lucky hit chance. Otherwise it wouldn’t proc X’Fals at all. Andy’s still doesn’t proc it unless it changed recently. Maybe the proc is from PT or PI instead, I’ll have to test more.
Just tried it now, toxic alchemist still doesn’t proc X’fal’s.
The best way to test is to use multiple dummies but only hitting the middle dummy with poison imbuement then shadow imbuement. You will find that X’fals only procs on the middle dummy with toxic alchemist (because the poison imbuement effect is the thing that is procing it).
The 75% is for procing toxic alchemist, but toxic alchemist effect itself doesn’t have a lucky hit chance attached to it.
Not sure why this matters. Yes the 75% is part of the proc for Toxic Alchemist but that doesnt mean the poison nova has a 75% lucky hit for purposes of Xfals.
