WW Thorns feedback

So I grinded my way through a thorns WW build this season and while I liked the new play style, it is just lacking a bit of damage (as with all things barb), it has no issues in T3, but in T4 you really start noticing the lack of damage.

Here are my suggestions to improve thorns. Not all need to be implemented, but it would be nice.

  • Tough as nails: increase the percentage that each rank gives, make it a flat 5% per rank (up from 3%)

  • Outburst: buff the first sentence “gain 32 thorns” to “gain 100% of your strength as thorns”

  • Barbed Carapace: Change the first sentence to “For every 25 fury you spend, gain 25%+ thorns for 8 seconds up to 200%”

  • Paragon boards: Can we get a thorns board? Or can we change the armor and life per 5 seconds to “x% of strength/some stat as thorns”

Other random suggestions

  • WW: As is customary, please buff WW direct damage.
  • Armor: Can we change the scaling of how much armor is provided by the strength stat? I hit 5k armor on my thorns barb and I still couldn’t cap out my armor using it along with my equipment on T4. I think this should be part of the barbs “identity” to get a good chunk of its armor just from strength. Armor should be approximately 40% strength in my opinion, as in my 5k scenario, if you stack that much, you will be able to achieve the cap.
  • Gushing wounds: Please revert the gushing wounds nerf to the old wording, but reduce the multiplier from 140% of crit dmg bonus to 10% of crit dmg bonus.

WW is so underpowered as a Core Skill that they would have to 5x Gohr’s gloves to make it somewhat usable. It’s laughably bad.

I think I made a suggestion in a separate thread for them to change Gohrs into a mythic with the following change to the unique affix.

“Whirlwind can now overpower and deals 30%x increase overpower damage”

as well as changing the close crit chance to generic crit chance.

We need to be able to apply our thorns on hit. It should be part of Enhanced Frenzy, and Battle Trance needs to increase that instead of attack speed for other skills. We should also have a glyph that adds to this, along with a paragon board to support thorns.

An aspect that gives armor and a damage multiplier based on armor is long overdue. They could do a paragon/glyph combo for that as well.

Spiritborn has these things right out the gate. Pretty dumb.
