Tornados should stay at the boss’s location until new tornados are generated or at least for a while before they scatter in all directions
How does every skill being viable defeat the purpose of playing the game? This doesn’t make any sense at all.
The point of playing the game is to have fun, being forced to use one or two skills and hyperfocus your build around those skills to the exclusion of all else is an artificial limitation that should not exist.
All skills should have equal viability, otherwise why do those skills exist at all? Entire sections of the skill tree, dozens of affixes and aspects are all currently worthless and have no reason to exist, does that actually make sense to you? If so, please explain how.
I run eternal realm only. I hate the grinding levels. My barb was very well geared and specked for whirlwind. Including Grandfather, Shako, Ramaldini’s, Doombringer. Etc.
Once S4 started, I went to Helltides and immediately knew I was borked. I didn’t want to learn another spec. But I came across Charge/Double Swing on Maxroll. I decided to try it with all three shouts and Wrath. Using charge as the closer/generator, and aspects with Dust Devils.
All I can say is wow. Very easy to play and just destroys. Maybe not like some folks, but I play solo and just want to be able to challenge myself, but not be unable to progress because of a lousy spec.
I was using the spec still with my old WW paragon board, while I ran NM dungeons to max the glyphs of the charge/ww build. Just today I maxed out those glyphs and redid paragon accordingly. Very nice! I’m having fun with it now.
I play solo and the endgame in season 4 concentrates on defeating pit (bosses) and torment bosses. In summary, the WW-DD build is not is not made for the endgame. That’s why I’m feel forced to create another build that has nothing to do with Whirlwind. It’s a real pity that blizzard no longer follows their vision of the Barbarian, but that of the streamers and their followers who then whine that the Barbarian is OP.
Blizzard fixed dust devil builds which were totally legit just because streamers made a fuss during PTR. Blizzard did not fix builds that were clearly exploiting a bug (i.e., bash cleave) because streamers did not make a fuss during PTR. And Blizzard now gave up fixing them because streamers made a fuss. Because of the whims of streamers (or maybe an intentional cover-up), we have to go around with the boring bug-based build for the next three months if we want to push the pit. Perhaps the fair and reasonable solution would be to revert dust devil builds back to pre-nerf. Rest assured DPS of dust devil builds will never be as good as bash.

due to the legendary paragon node you get an 1,3x multiplier for your first 300% dmg while berserking. its caped afterwards.
Any % dmg while berserking above 300% is additive.
I don’t use the legendary paragon node. And how can you tell it’s multiplicative at 300% then additive afterwards?
It’s just not well explained in the game and therefore difficult to figure out. But if you look at the node, it says that the bonus is a maximum of 30%. If you play around on your items with the affix “Damage while Berserking”, you’ll see that the bonus increases up to 30%, but not above that.
You have to remember ‘Blood Rage’ didn’t have a cap before Season 4. Besides that, you only get the bonus AFTER killing a bleeding monster. So it’s worthless against bosses and won’t proc whacking the target dummy.

There are multiple activities in the game. Different Builds are better for different Activities.
I’m playing Double-Swing Dust-Devils and I’m loving it. It’s insane for Speed-Farming.
However, expecting it to be as good for endgame as well will just make the game just bland.
There is a difference in builds performing better than others in certain content and builds outright struggling to do really anything that well or able to complete all content. That is what we are talking about. It is poor balance when you have certain builds (Barbarian Bash) that is S-Tier in all content but Whirlwind which is D-Tier for anything of note.
Bash build good for ALL activities. Lack of AOE : here u are “bug bolt” elixir.
Same heartseeker rogue - S tier for ALL activites
But there is no elixir for lack of single target dmg. its just poor imbalanced design.

Not in my opinion. The PTR version was ok, but not anymore. Absolutely no chance with the bosses.
They should have “just” nerfed the “visual”. Perhaps there wasn’t enough time, so they simply changed the parameters of the DD as an emergency solution, which then led to this massive nerf.
But you’re absolutely right about the base Whirlwind damage. All core skills are now far too weak.
Yeah my barb is doing 1700% crit dmg with 48% crit chance, 700 vulnerable dmg. It’s overall damage output is sub par and I am squishy as all get out… meanwhile my friends 3 of them mind you are all running sorcerer and they out take hits better and do a substantial more amount of damage. So not realistic. And their crits and bulk damage comes no where near mine.
