WW barb is uber crap now

I’ve been on the public test realm, making 100 chars to experiment for when s4 comes. Yes, charge barbs and hota barbs are good, but WW needs some serious love as it’s just not comparable in any way, there is just no reason to use the iconic skill anymore unless i’m missing something?

My S3 rapid fire rogue slaps the crap out of the WW barb in terms of monster killing ability it’s unreal.

Whirlwind never was good in Diablo IV.
Always had some kind of problem.
Or was with the mana (fury cost) not allowing you to spin continuously, or was never giving enough damage.

I totally gave up on the skill.

Well I mostly agree but when pre-season released, my bleed WW barb was actually good, it needs to rip through them like a literally WW, or give WW dust devils every couple of seconds or something.

I’m going rapid fire rogue again on S4 I think.

The only thing that was holding WW barely above water was the cap-less Beserk damage bonus from the legendary paragon glyph. The second they decreased the bonus and capped it, they destroyed the only method of getting anything remotely close to reasonable damage with WW.

Agreed.

I miss my WW pike barb from D2 though.

If you want a fun Whirlwind Barbarian, play a Last Epoch Warpath build.

Blizzard ruined Whirlwind barbarians all the way back to Patch 1.10 in Diablo 2. Prior to that, WW barbs were gods.

Currently for barb dust devils is king(ptr) and will probably be nerfed.

The whirlwind barbarian was always envied by non-barbarian players and there were cries for nerfs every time he was strong. Blizzard probably doesn’t enjoy it anymore and has simply kept him weak already in Diablo 3.

With the release of diablo 4 they tried to make him playable again, but then there was a lot of whining again and blizzard nerfed him to the ground. Since then WW is not touched anymore.

Blizzard doesn’t have it easy with today’s whining society…

I might do the same. Or I will try a hybrid that I made for my second Rogue that died at 60 something.

Sorry about you’re WW build for Barb Boutus. That sucks.

I love hybrid or homebrew builds. My Hota barb is a Hota/Deathblow homebrew, and my rapid fire rogue makes use of two imbues, conceal and caltrops instead of an ultimate. Monsters get stuck and frozen on my caltrops and the dmg done to them increases every second. Son of Malphas gets bummed if he stays inside a caltrop for too long and gets peppered with crit shots.
