I play the game on Playstation for what it’s worth. My friend and I were roaming around doing sidequests outside Cerigar, I believe, hunting tusked chargers.
Anywho, we basically corner one of the chargers as go around it to finish it off with basic’s.
We kill it but not even after a second of it dying, I died. No other enemies around, damn near full health just dead instantly. Idfk if it squished me against the map edge or what. after making a new character and going back to do the same quest, shortly after killing one, it’s body seemingly “pushed” me whilst doing decent damage but I didn’t die instantly this time. Have a video clip of it as well.
Was wandering if this was a bug or if it’s even happened to anyone else before and would Blizzard possibly reinstate said dead character or not. Just want an explanation to a bs death is all. Still a lil salty about it obv 
Well what you describe is definitely a mechanic of abilities in the game. For example, the Barbarian has the ability Kick; if you use it and push enemies into terrain it does extra damage after the initial hit.
I wouldn’t doubt that this is what happened to you with the mob: you took a big hit and clashing with terrain finished you off.
Also, any death in the game, no matter what it is, will never be restored. This is the nature of HC.
Also, if you and your friend are going into a fresh game without prior knowledge of all the game mechanics, expect the unexpected since you don’t have a full grasp of each enemy (especially unique enemies).
A lot of HC players who die from game mechanics use it as a learning experience and move on to the next HC character.

I appreciate the response as well as the detail in said response for explaining things. I got about 100 hours in before I started this HC character but I’m only ranting about it because this time felt so unfair. My friend was a Druid using pulverize so unless that has some push effect, I fail to see how the death would’ve been possible to begin with. Again, I appreciate the descriptive response and I’ve definitely moved on starting a new character. It’s just… ‘wow lol’ I was speechless for a good minute staring at that death screen lmao
They will NEVER do that. Even if one of their admins would go ahead and delete your character out of spite. No reason ever will make them revive your dead HC character.
