For all the “patches” and “fixes” you’ve produced to date, would you please make at least some miminal, small, infenitesimal effort at making the effect that will one shot insta kill a player - I don’t know, maybe at least making that remotely visible to the player in question? I’m beyond done with clearing an area and then dying and going… well wtf was that? I cannot fathom even trying HC in this game with all the things that can ninja kill you underneath all the layers of crap you layer on the floor and beneath every one of those layers is the one thing that will immediately explode and one shot kill you. The sheer number of times that I’ve died and gone… well wtf was that and checking to see that the “environment” killed me, or something I literally never, ever saw killed me. As good as the game is, it’s abosultely ridiculous that we die and have never even seen what did it. Please please please please please please please ffs make the thing that’s going to KILL YOU the most important effect and not all the bs on the floor and all the other bs you decided to vomit on the floor just cause it’s kewl to see a bunch of meaningless mess clutter the floor, cause I killed stuff. The rest of the game A+, this mechanic is a big Flag F-.
These
devs really read the room when they made 20 things that place ground explosions after death. Not like it was one of the top 2 things that APRG players absolutely hate. Immunities being the other.
You got it, I’ve decided I’m just gonna log out every time they decide to one shot me amid all the bs on the floor and go play another game. Prolly spend money on that game and not this bs, since they don’t seem to care. $ talks, it ain’t gonna be spent on bs like that.
At least other games in the genre have severely limited the after death explosions in response to the hate of the players. The
devs at Blizzard decided to 20x them.
I actually don’t have a hard time telling what bad stuff is on the floor. Maybe I’m just a savant or something.
I feel that both the visual and sound effects are an improvement - and actually it is quite easy to both dodge and identify things… maybe I am as well.
The Wraith long attack is quite quick though - which is fine - its fine to have quick stuff 2.
My biggest problem is the spam spider loads that cover 75% of the viewable area. They really need to make those disappear in an area if you hit one instead of being individual traps. Also the poison pools completely hide poison explosions but those are avoidable if you pay attention to affixes.
I’ve been playing WoW for 18 years, so my brain is trained to scan for things on the floor.
The spiders are annoying - those big pools of toxins always annoy me ![]()
10 spiders spawn 10 loads on the ground… have to suffer through 4 roots in a row taking 1 step at a time. There should be a 20 yard radius for destroying the spider loads when you trigger one or something. It is ridiculous that they spam them the instant the spiders spawn.
That sounds like good game design imo - I would watch that - they are thinking of the viewers.
