Worst Stat UI Ever

The UI for stats when it comes to items is really, really bad. This might be the only game I have played with loot where equipping an “upgrade” causes your stats to go down. The comparison feature where it has either a green or a red number on the item doesn’t help either. There have been times when I go to equip a weapon that advertises a +100 weapon damage if I equip it, and it’s higher iLevel than my current weapon, only for my Attack Power stat to go down when I equip it. It’s total nonsense, and if you aren’t carefully paying attention, you are gimping your character without even realizing it. There are just way too many secondary stats to read through in order to do the calculus to figure out whether your Attack Power goes up or down. Right now, the only way to know for sure is to equip and unequip every single item in your inventory while watching the stats Attack Power, Armor, and Life to see whether they move up or down. It would be so easy to fix this so that you don’t have to spend half the game reading text.

The current Stats for Items look like this (with made up numbers):

Unsavory Deathlord’s Giant Axe of Death
Sacred Legendary Two Handed Axe
700+25 Item Power
Upgrades 5/5
1,337 Damage per Second (+100)
→ [1000 - 1500] Damage per Hit
→ 0.90 Attacks per Second (Slow Weapon)
+100 Life On Kill [+150]
+30.1% Vulnerable Damage
Lucky Hit: Up to a +15.2% Chance to Execute Injured Non-Elites [13.1-17.5]%
+30.5% Damage to Unhealthy Bleeding Non-Elite Demons in Scosglen on Tuesdays [20.5-50.7]%
+153 Strength +[100-203]

How it should look instead:

Deathlord’s Axe
Two Handed Axe
(+5.2% Attack Power)
(-2.5% Armor)
(+3.7% Life)
725 iPower
5/5 Upgrades
1,337 DPS
+153 Strength
+100 Life on Kill
