I dear you to make a good looking female character in this game. It’s like it was intentionally designed to be impossible. The female model looks like a DnD hag, no matter what you do. Compared to Lost Arc, it feels like the interns were making the character creation customizer. What gives?
You don’t want to play Fiona from Shrek?
You mean they’re not big tiddy anime girls who make weird noises when casting spells?
The character customization options are far superior to what we had, which was nothing. I’m pretty happy with it given the past of what we’ve had with Diablo.
My characters disagree with you. I am guessing you did not actually play the Beta and use the char creator? You really can’t tell male from female?
Even the barb still looks female
The druid looks like a bear regardless of gender I think. That is the class fantasy I think they were going for. I don’t dislike it though. I think it is ample for what it is designed for.
they look emo as heck.
Also, did Blizzard say that there would be more customization upon launch?
Do you guys not ever get tired of hauling out this BS strawman?
No one has asked for that.
They have not mentioned any changes to the char customization basics, no.
I do hope they fix the light hair textures and offer more hair styles eventually.
Well, yes. Quite a range in looks right now, but all tend to lean dark, gothic, etc. That is the theme the art team went for in the game. That was a design choice. The option to not have makeup, tattoos, or jewelry is also there if people want. People can also make a full rocky horror picture show char or heavy metal char “KISS” style.
Yes, some have. The hyper focus on the chest is just rather icky feeling from my point of view. Some folks have other complaints which are well phrased, but those that come down to “the chest is not big enough so I can’t tell it is a woman” are just… sad. Women are not defined by chest size. I would hope they can tell the difference IRL without glowing neon signs.
Sorry this isn’t a Gachi game. Go play something else.
You are playing a game based on the minions of hell, are they supposed to be valley girls? This is one of the most emo series ever
i disagree with you. I did like 4 female out of 5 and they felt pretty different everytime. The only one i didnt like was the druid, i made a man for this one
some like me love small chest size, necro and barb are both extreme that i love. I either love death by snusnu or small goth. I really pleased with 4 of the classes.
The druid female was just bad overall
So you’re going to use like one or two people to discredit dozens if not hundreds of other people.
Idk all mine were pretty.
My fave look was probably Necro - she had creepy walking death vibe. She wasn’t my prettiest character but her look was most fitting for her class
I did too. I did not remember to take pics, but the male druid really fit the “bear” type class fantasy for me and I enjoyed it. The art team did a really good job with the armor and weapon art too from what little I saw. He looked class appropriate, fierce, and very sturdy.
I did not so much care for the female druid appearance, not because of size, but because the faces and hair did not seem to match well to me. Other people will have different opinions of course. Some like it quite a lot. If we get some more hair styles and such (which I really want), then I would prob make a female druid too.
I just had to keep in mind, the D4 druid is not the Mists of Avalon priestess I might want to make.
It was not one or two. It tends to come down to “I can’t tell that is a female” which is false and when asked, the only thing most come up with is “but boobies not big enough”.
The faces have distinct differences between male and female in bone structure, lip shape, fat deposition, etc. So it is not the faces. The bodies, even though fit and muscular, have the proper shoulder, waist, hip ratios for women - for the body type. Hair and makeup are easy to change and hopefully we get more variations. Even clothing is revealing for some classes so it is not “censorship”. So what is left?
Not saying everyone will find the art used attractive, as that is subjective, but they most certainly do look female.
I loved my characters. Wish I could share screenshots
Exactly.
I made a viking looking man that carries a heavy totem, made me think of a Tauren lol! love my thick boy.
The character creator we have in D4 is a huge leap for the Diablo Franchise… The previous games Diablo and D2 didn’t let you change anything about them. D3 went on to give you gender variants thats all. D4 lets you change the Gender, Skin Tone, Hair, Hair Color, Eye Color, Markings, Piercings.
There could be a few things added to it like Body Type / Build, but I don’t expect a full-blown character creator where I can adjust every aspect of my characters body. Hell this game has a better Character customization than freaking New World.
A lot of empty bridges since beta rolled out.
Huge leap for ARPGs in general.
Hate how druid looks… Luckily the only char I will be playing (Barb) look hot as hell (otherwise I would be angry too if he looks like druid)…those chest muscles man!..and arms too…heck even the abs!
What class fantasy? He is suppose to shapeshift into wolf as well, wolves are lean mostly unlike bears.
