Curious of what you guys think the time required for this will be. I saw a video from a streamer who was part of the internal endgame beta and he talked a bit about blizzard’s announcement of ~30 hours to level 50 and ~150h from 50 to 100. However, he also said that this should be grossly overstated and that he would think it is less than half of it.
Based on the current world record of c. 40min for the act 1 campaign, i would guess that there are several streamers out there who will be done with the complete campaign in about 3 hours or less followed immediately by unlocking world tier 3 difficulty. My guesstimate for world first level 100 softcore is less than 5 days. I think its fair to expect that various bug mechanics are still in the game that will “help” with this as well long before they will be patched away.
I just hope that it takes long enough, otherwise we will be bored pretty quick. But I am pretty sure that some of these crazy people will do this in a week or two lol.
its not my special access but everyone’s who bought the ultimate edition. Yes, in the 4 days, I will at least have 1 level 50 with 50 paragon.
I will be taking advantage of the mob scaling which will boost me very quickly. Thats the one advantage of mobs that stay in your level range in any zone
Interesting. I assume you could basically stay in one single dungeon but you have to complete the campaign and do two specific other dungeons to unlock difficulties 3 and 4 which you probably will want to do.
In the context of the launch at 6 June this could also mean some trouble for Blizzard. As a normal edition owner, you basically see YT videos of level 100 characters fully geared and guides etc. before you even start…
Might be unpopular opinion here…but I hope leveling to max level doesn’t take long…or at least not too long. Because we are unable to extract back an aspect, the game only start at level 100 for me (one of the reasons…), where I will use my saved aspects. So I hope it won’t take too long so I can “start” playing earlier…

my plan will be simple, progress thru the story line to unlock an open area zones. go to a few “key events” and just spam them with a few buddies (they actually reset quickly if you do it correct). Those events are very good xps.
I guess we will see many Sorc and necros very fast @level 100

me too! Although when I play that game (which i havent in awhile), on new season starts I always stay in the area before going to the first town in game until I can kill uber hillick (his drop is amazing) but you can only fight him if you never go to the first town. And he only spawns if you are over level 8 (which takes awhile as the zone mobs do NOT scale and you have to grind so many low level mobs for the xps to get over level 6+) lol
