At the moment, World Bosses are trash. I rarely bother to fight 'em unless they happen to pop up at the most convenient time possible.
If the developers upped to the Uber drop rate to something similar to Duriel, they may be worth seeking out. Ultimately, it would be like doing a Duriel Run, but without having to provide the mats.
Agreed. They need to first decrease the time even more than they did. IMO up the drop pool with Ubers and bring back the 925 score. No clue why they removed that especially on a boss that spawns in hours.
TBH the only reason I even doing the world boss now is for the 5 favors or whatever for the tree of whispers.
I believe they should have a life barrier or be immune for some period when they hit the parts of life that drop portions. Their mechanics are cool and have good damage but at level 100 their fight doesn’t last a few seconds.
Oh, stop. You have to run what - 100 Duriels or so before you might get an Uber? It’s not like adding a World Boss drop is going to do much. At least give us a little excitement.
Each time you do a qualifying event, like wt4 WB, you get 1 point of currency, after x amount of currency is collected, you can buy a gear token that when used has a chance to roll an uber.
Kind of wish they never came out with Uber Uniques to begin with. Their equivalent is just about in every ARPG to an extent, and their drop rates have never changed. Now admittedly some of these games have open trading but not all, which causes its own set of problems of RMT.
I still say to lower the amount of Uber uniques available and nerf the ones that get turned into normal uniques by a certain percentage. The issue is people feel entitled to have them just because it’s in the game.
There are items I will never find in multiple games, and achievements I’ll never get and that’s perfectly fine. Leave it to those who have more time to spend than I do on video games, but don’t hand them out like candy because some random casual can’t obtain them.
Although truthfully speaking, if this was added to World Bosses people would still complain. Realistically how many would a casual player kill per day? 1 if they were lucky? Maybe 3 to 6 per weekend? Even with a Duriel drop rate, I don’t see a lot of people finding these off of world bosses in general.
World Bosses should be made 100x harder and kick the ever living _ out of you. You should not be able to beat one with less than 12 players.
After the timer runs out they should chase everyone from the event all over Sanctuary till they are dead.
Then sure let them drop an Uber.
Actually, if World Bosses dropped Uber Uniques at the same rate as Duriel, Duriel would STILL be vastly superior method of farming for Uber Uniques just solely considering A SINGLE ROTA with a full party gives you 4 bites at the apple.
World Bosses only spawn every 3.5 hours. Assuming you used a poopbucket, maybe you kill a World Boss only 6 times in a 24 hour period. Most “hardcore” players can maybe achieve (2) World Boss kills in a play session, but most players are lucky to have a SINGLE World Boss kill a day (especially if you are not using a Tracker website and setting an alarm).
Oooh look how it is dropping like candy! Please stop with dumb hyperboles and this strawman argument. The OP just posed the question of having WBs drop them at the same rate (which they should). WBs should also be MUCH harder and actually require multiple players. Let’s not pretend however “Uber Duriel” is really a challenge whatsoever though.
