while i personally like the resilience buff, i of course noticed people complaining about it.
lets not forget that this buff comes from people saying “omg, world bosses die too fast, they dont even feel epic!” blah blah
I like the longer World Boss fights…however it needs to have better rewards.
I suggest 9 blood instead of 3…and in a perfect world a possible Stygian Stone…same probability as the Pits.
they do have a chance to drop a stygian stone.
I dunno. I think it makes it so lower players can play the fight. One shot before it was even spawned was pretty stupid too.
Imo they should have just made a tough tormented version for high level players that mechanics can kill you and it couldn’t be one shot either. Then everyone would complain about one shot mechanics though.
Blizzard can’t win with this community honestly. If not for one shot mechanics then no fight would be difficult. With one shot mechanics everyone complain they can’t face tank. Same with world boss. Without resilience the boss would die instantly. With resilience people complain it takes 4 mins.

id say they are semi rare. so far i got like 6 stones id say from world bosses. so yea, its just a nice extra you know.
with hordes, there is zero reason to even kill a world boss, other than the fun of it.
I will admit that this way is better than the WBs dying before they spawn. There is just soo much wasted potential here. They could easily make the fight more dynamic.
Example:
if the WB loses 40% of its health within 15 seconds then trigger a phase 2, In phase two if the WB loses the next 40% put it in berserk mode and up the challenge greatly.
and finally scale the reward UP for all players based off of what mode they die in.
This is how I would do it. I would also not just up the bosses damage in the later modes I would add some additional monsters that are more than fodder for AOE.
Actual fix will be bit high damage to remove facetanking and of course Mechanics!

like… berserk mode? come on, people cry already when they have to dodge attacks lol.

I personally miss the alpha world bosses where they would melt you into oblivion if you messed up and the fight was a solid 10 minutes with a good team. Wish they would go back to this design but juice up the rewards like 5x more loot and also better rewards. The fight should be worth the effort now it’s very meh…
I personally enjoy the fights. It’s not as if it takes that long anyways.
Heck lot better than if you blink, it’s dead. That was just ridiculous.
Here is a mighty world boss… that dies faster than a dungeon boss.

WB need to drop a stack of blood. They can be buffed to include enrage timer, once triggered, team wipes the entire party. There can be specific builds tailored for bosses. Way less boring than 1 build fits all contents.
I like the idea of the fight actually having mechanics again, but unless you’re a new player (or new seasonal player) and short on prisms, there’s no real reason to do it unless you enjoy it.

I’m an eternal player, sitting on 800 prisms. I can run a dungeon in about 6-8 minutes and get 5 grim favors and far more loot than a world boss will drop. I have zero reason to interact with them when they no longer die in seconds, unless I find it fun.
Really they need a huge boost in the loot they drop. Maybe a guaranteed 1 GA (with chance to be higher,) and a ton more gold.

i understand nerfing high dps chars to make the fight longer but this seems a little bit extreme.
Why should world boss fights feel epic when the rewards are so absolutely lackluster. You gather in a large group, wait around for it to spawn, kill it… and voila! Same rewards as opening a chest in helltides.
They are just boring target dummies with rewards not even remotely worth the time spent fighting them. 1shotting them was much more fitting for what you get from them, now you are better off ignoring world bosses and doing pretty much anything else in the game instead.
